Chapter 9 - Secret

Etim knew it was stupid for him to expose his secret like that, but come on, food is more important. If he died from hunger, there will be no secret.

Don't even think of lying to me.

He didn't even dare to. He knew Tabibah could smell the slightest lie… Which was why they had made her come through Elba's bond, not making Elba go straight by to her.

"I… Actually… You can't tell anyone about this, it seems weird. " He looked into her grayish purple eyes and added pitifully with a pout." Please. "

Tabibah nodded without hesitation: I give you my word.

"I have this weird thing growing in my stomach…"

Tabibah felt her brain stop working for a moment.

Her mother was the original witch leader, but she had a strange illness and couldn't carry a child to full term which was why they had to use a spell to transfer her pregnancy to Father.

Growing up, she had seen all type of strange things, which was why the first thought that came into her head was pregnancy.

He was Pregnant? For whom? How can he get pregnant? Is she supposed to become a..? Stepfather? A baby was not part of this equation!! But children need a complete family!!!

A unusual thing. . . In your stomach.

He nodded naively.

Her thoughts were running wild, but her face was calm. The Jealousy she felt made her powers flickered wildly, and an intense urge to skin the fucker who touched her mate and feed his flesh to starved rats overwhelmed her. She embraced the feeling with open arms.

Etim felt the atmosphere in the room turn colder and colder, he looked at Tabibah in fear. Her pale lips opened and for the first time, he heard her voice. Her real voice, was not the one she used on his mind.

It was low and seductive, capable of impregnating people's ears, filled with pure dominance and cold, ice-cold.

"Who… Who got you pregnant? "

Etim felt his ears stand up alongside the hair on his body. He looked at Tabibah with hatred and would have beaten her up... If he could.

"You are pregnant! Your whole family is filled with pregnant people! Why did you say I am pregnant? I'm a male! A male! Take note of my gender!!! "

What is wrong with being a pregnant male, her father was a pregnant male, and he was the strongest witch she knew.

She thought so, but she felt the sadistic beast in her calm down at his hysterical yells. The mate bond had thickened from the size of a thread into the size of a rope and her mood darken. She could not believe she had gotten jealous. The mate bond was seriously messing with her.

You said something was growing in you.

"When I said something was growing in me, I didn't say it was a baby."

He grabbed her hands to her surprise and placed them on his bare stomach. His stomach was flat, but he had no abs. The soft skin looked more attractive than even eight packs to her. She trailed her hands on it, and its warm temperature sent sparks to her skin.

She looked up to see Etim's dazed look, his skin was flushed to his ears and his tongue stuck out of his mouth slightly.

"Bi-bibah, it is not supposed to be like this. " His voice came out in a moan, soft and coquettish, that did strange things to her mind. He was attracted to her. She was to him. All that was missing was a bed. . .

That bastard bond!! That bastard bond!! Messing with my thoughts, she yelled in her head.

But she made no effort to stop wanting it.

Etim felt shame, hot, scorching shame that threatened to set his skin ablaze. He couldn't believe he was acting like this, trembling to Tabibah's cold touch and going all limp in her arms without feeling anything was wrong with it.

He felt like crying. He had used more tears since he was with Tabibah than before because his emotions were all hay wired. And he always cries out when he couldn't deal with his emotion which was embarrassing because he was already fifty years old.

Tabibah smelled like honey and ripe lemons, the overpowering scent made him dizzy.

"You are meant to check inside me. " His voice came out harsher than he intended, scattering the trace of ambiguity in the air. Tabibah might kill him for disrespect, but he didn't care.

He felt jealous, which was stupid. Tabibah probably took him to bait Sao out or threaten Queen Mia. He knew that, everyone knew that.

But why is my heart hurting at that fact?

Tabibah was grateful one of them had self-control between them, and she closed her eyes, letting her powers penetrate his body.

Just to be sure he had no hidden illness that would threaten his life, she made a thorough search before settling in his stomach.

The number of utensils there made her baffled. Pots, flints, spices, salt, oil…

Are you having a party in your stomach?

"Tabibah. " He said through gritted teeth, blushing heavily. "Are you purposely missing the point? "

His fear of Tabibah seem seems to diminish each second. Tabibah thought he was bold. He was the first one who ever dare talk to her like this, even Sao knew better than to underestimate her.

She flicked his intestine and he paled, groaning to her satisfaction. She searched through the pile of things b before she saw what was supposed to be the 'point'.

It was a little plant, one that was barely sprouted, all that was there was a little purple leave. She wasn't sure of its species.

What is that?

She opened her eyes and Etim removed her hands and pulled his shirt down.

Shame. He should have left it up for much longer. Should I burn it?

"I don't know," he said and went back to his basket, bringing things out of his stomach.

Does… Does it hurt?

"No. " He shook his head twice and looked at her with a pout. She had gone back to speaking through his mind.

He preferred Tabibah's normal voice to the cold, monotonous one she used in his mind that sent chills down his spine.

Tabibah searched through her memory, but she couldn't recall ever seeing the plant. She found it strange. But what was stranger was…

Why do you have cooking utensils in your stomach?

"Because…"
