Chapter 15 - trust

"Tabibah hold on. Tabi- damn it!!"

She was very angry, Etim could feel it. He could also see her powers flickering around them. They were light and didn't harm him bit he was scared.

"Tabibah."

"What!!!!"

"I wasn't running away. " he muttered softly. "I swear, I wasn't."

Tabibah's heart calmed down a little bit before getting agitated by the moon's effect on her.

"Stop talking." she said waving her hands. A portal appeared and slowly began to expand. It should have been faster but because she was getting weak… Tabibah cursed in her mind.

"I can't, you are angry at me and my heart don't feel comfortable." he said. His voice was high and shaky. When Tabibah turned back to glance at him, his eyes were watery.

Tabitha felt her heart ache. She knew the bond was the one affecting him, that was the only reason he was bothered by her unless he won't care about her. Nobody did. No single person…

Her dark thoughts scattered when she felt warm hands around her. Breathing heavily, Etim whispered in her ear. "Let's go home, the portal is opened, I'm not going anywhere."

Tabitha almost kissed him there, she nodded at him and dragged him through the portal, they came out in a forest instead of the cave where she pinpointed. Etim could see that there was something wrong with Tabibah but he didn't say anything.

He made sure to hug her and attached to her body like a leech. Might look annoying but that calmed Tabibah down, a lot.

When they got to the cave, Etim came down and started arranging things to cook, he hated the silence. Normally, Tabibah was silent but it wasn't as choking as this. He hated this.

Etim took a bowl and went to the river to fetch water. He came back and began rinsing the pots. "I have been kidnapped more than 50 times." he said making Tabibah's eyes widened. Her face looked so funny so he giggled a bit. "You are actually my 53rd kidnapper."

That isn't something to be happy about, she said in his mind.

"No, it isn't " he said sadly. "But you are actually the nicest actually, the rest were…" he sighed and faced the river, back hunched in melancholy.

"I don't know how rumours spread about Elves ability to make people stronger if they sleep with them, which I'm not sure is really a thing but I suddenly woke up one morning and had a red target on my back…"

He talked slowly and went to washing the vegetables when he was done with the pot.

Tabibah had known Etim for a few days as a bright and noisy cub. It felt heart wrecking to see him look so sullen and talk with little emotions.

"Sao and Queen Mia are strong…But some people, some people are really desperate…and I am weak."

Grey mist gathered near her hands and it was hard to pull it in. She wanted to kill and it was not the mate bond pushing her this time.

She looked at the boy diligently slicing vegetables into the pot like he was not the one he was talking about and her heart ached.

"The first time... " he scoffed gently and licked his lips. "I-I was, I was just fifteen. It was after dinner and I was ready to sleep, a Canine guard slipped into my room. I wasn't even given the chance to yell before I was knocked out…

Etim. Tabibah didn't know what to say, she knew he needed to speak, he wanted to open up to her. He was trusting her with his secret. He was trusting her. Tabibah wasn't sure she deserved this, especially when she had been an ass to him.

She could only watch as a lone tear slipped down his eye and he smiled sadly, before rinsing the knife and cutting the rabbit open.

"A lady had been in charge…She had fed me a liquid, said it made pigs go into heat… Her hands were everywhere, I don't think there were any instrument she didn't use in me… It hurted so badly but I was too weak to fight back."

"She wasn't the only one, but I can still remember her clearly because she stuck out the most taking her time. She especially loved it when I screamed out in pain. I think a paddle was her favorite instrument. She like degradation also."

Etim!!

Tabibah felt torn. She wanted to here him speak finish so she could know the people she had to torment, at the same time she wanted him to stop talking because he looked so… Fuck.

He finished dressing the rabbit and set the firewood. He tried to light the wood with a flint.

"The canine warriors had came before she could take my virginity, " he scoffed gently and a sad smile graced his lips. "lucky me right"

The flint didn't start up, he became very frustrated with it and threw it away. Tabibah waved her hand and the wood caught fire. He gave her a grateful smile and placed the pot on it.

The unusual purple flame reminded him of the night sky. He decided at that moment that purple was his third favorite color after red and black.

"Sao had spend all night making sure I knew what a disgrace I was, and man did those words sink in."

Tabibah went close to him and held him in her embrace and then he broke into tears. "The second time, they met me battered on a dirty bed. This time my captors were men and they won't take no for an answer…But Having sex with me didn't make them stronger as the rumor said and they had took it out on me…"

He looked at her with watery eyes. "I couldn't stop them, I felt disgusted with myself. I almost… Was so close to slitting my wrists but Queen Mia saw me and banned me from knives…"

Shhhhh…You are strong.

"The third time, I tried to escape and I did get all part of my bones broken but. " he chuckled lightly. "They couldn't touch me…"

"Ahhhh… The seventh time, I did escape, but almost starved to death in the forest before I was found. Then I started cooking, it started with roasting and tasted horrible… "

"On my thirtieth birthday this weird thing grew in my stomach and then I started placing utensils and spices in them. "

Tabibah hugged him tighter. Only she knew how hard she was trying to suppress her powers from spiralling wildly. Many people were on her black list including Sao and Mia who couldn't protect him properly. Her hatred for them rekindled by double.

Sao especially for insulting her mate.

Etim broke free from her embrace and smiled at her cleaning his eyes. "Forgive me, I usually don't trust people with this but something about you just make me feel small and safe. "

Tabibah knew it was the mate bond that made him trust her with her secret. Even if he didn't knew about it, his body did.

I can't imagine going through what you went through without going mad but you did and still have this cheerful outlook to life. I really admire you Etim.

Etim smiled at her words. Their face were close together and he could see even the little mole at the curve of her sensual lips.

"Don't worry you are my favorite kidnapper! I swear on my life. "

Fool... how many are still alive?

"Not many! "

Tabibah glared at him and patted his head like a child. For the first time, his heart felt free.

"Are you…Are you...disgusted with me? " Etim didn't know why he was asking this question. It just slipped out of his mouth. The first time they spoke, he ranted about protecting his chastity but now she knew he was no longer pure. Will she hate him?

Tabibah didn't reply, but she gave him a light kiss in his forehead and whispered with her real voice. "I am still waiting for my meal. "

His smile was as bright as a retard.
