"Bye, Daddy!"
"Wait a minute, are you seriously going to call me that?"
Mike grabbed Devan's arm who was about to open the car door. His expression crinkled as he looked probingly at the teenage boy who was still grinning as if mocking him.
"If I speak, I will do as much as I can. Hehehe..."
Mike who heard it could only click his tongue, to be honest, he felt a little offended because the call seemed to make fun of him with an old face.
"Huh! It's up to you little boy. Oh yeah... I'll pick you up at the same time and place. Eitz! Don't argue, if I talk, I'll do as much as I can"
Even Devan who intended to interrupt could only gape without a word. Devan wanted to nag because the grown man turned the words on him. Mike who saw it immediately closed Devan's mouth by pressing his head and chin together. The tousled hair became a farewell and Mike immediately pushed his shoulder gently away.
"Hurry down!"
Stepping in a cheerful mood, Devan occasionally turned his face to Mike's car which was about to step on the gas away from his position. Holding back a smile Mike still managed to show his arms and wave. The front gate, which is always busy with students, is a reminder not to smile too broadly if you are alone. He just didn't want to be seen as crazy.
On Monday, the clothes of all students are required to be neat and have complete attributes. Hats, belts, and ties must be pulled tightly to the neckline. Several students who served as student council members also helped discipline each student at the second entrance gate. The queue is quite dense to wait for their turn to check. The atmosphere was so lively with so many voices coming out. Several conversations entered his ears, Devan felt sad when two people from the front and behind seemed busy talking. Devan's position in the middle of the man who was facing him made him so awkward. Devan was so short, and the incident was so humiliating that it made him intend to sneak away.
He walked slowly, not wanting anyone to notice him. Leaning to the side trying to occupy the row next to him until a push made him unsteady and ended up in a man's hand.
"Huh! I almost fell, thanks- uh!?"
"Get out of the way!"
The pounding of the hand made Devan's pedestal stand slightly unstable. Intending to say thank you his head looked up at a figure that turned out to be familiar. Devan immediately moved away and looked at the man who a few days ago bullied him in the toilet. With a neat appearance and complete attributes enough to make Devan gape. The figure according to rumors is a delinquent student who doesn't know the rules.
"Let's hurry! Tidy up the line!"
All students who have met the requirements immediately enter the field and prepare for the ceremony. Devan, who coincidentally was in the row next to the delinquent student, was amazed by the man on his right.
Devan wasn't sure if the person who was now raising his hand to salute the inspector of ceremonies was the same as the man who locked his movements at that time. The face of the man he knew named Nathan seemed to be standing still.
"My name is Andres Aditama. I am the owner and chairman of the foundation of our beloved school. Please note that....."
"Shh! Devan! Shhh!"
Devan was a little taken aback. The atmosphere was quite quiet with the ceremonial inspector conducting his talk in front, making Devan quite a few voices calling him. He turned his head and looked around until he found his friends waving their hands. They smiled broadly at him who was starting to get the hot sun. Devan became jealous of the students who occupoccupiedvery every back position with a large shade tree, while himself?
A flick of the hand distracts him. Devan who initially turned his head back now turned to the figure who called him from the side. Devan's round eyes blinked a few times in confusion. The atmosphere felt quiet when he heard some advice that sounded quite loud at first with the speakers seeming to have no longer been heard in Devan's ears.
A small white animal was so close to his sight. A smallmouth that only showed a few front teeth and let out a single word, "Citt-ciitt!"
"Huaa... Rat... !"
Devan, who screamed in fear when he realized a rat was right in front of his face, made all the students who heard prancing around in fear. Hundreds of students who were originally lined up neatly have now fallen apart by running and shouting aimlessly.
"Everyone please calm down! There isn't a single mouse in this school."
"Please calm down!"
"Shut up! For the students who started the commotion, please come forward and take responsibility for their behavior!"
Devan was shaking with fear. It was clear he was innocent, the jerk boy should be held responsible. Devan turned his gaze to where the man was, blankly!
"Shit!"
And this is where Devan is, the principal's room which he had entered when he first entered this school. The boy did not expect he would enter this room again with a severe sense of fear. Several pairs of eyes stared at him angrily. Devan feels he is in serious trouble now.
"Devendra Axelandria XI Ipa 1 who is a new student. Making a fuss when the chairman of the foundation is giving a few words of introduction and advice. It's presumptuous enough that I'd like to give you a red card if you weren't one of the kids my acquaintances recommended."
Devan had been unable to breathe calmly. His hands clasped together in a bent body position. The sofa that looks soft feels like it pierces his ass when three middle-aged people look intimidating.
"Never mind, gung! I see he's not a bad student, you don't need to be serious about scoring him."
Devan slightly dared to raise his head. The partisanship of the man who had taken off his black coat gave Devan a bit of confidence with a slightly lighter sentence.
"He's been misbehaving by causing chaos on the day of your introduction, dress!"
"Don't be too serious about being a person! I don't mind it anyway."
"Hah! If that's what you want, but you can't stop me from punishing him anyway."
.
.
.
Devan rubbed his face with the back of his hand as the sweat drops bothered him. The heat of the sun plus his body was so sore when he had to sweep the garden with the many dry leaves that fell due to the strong wind.
Devan was still lucky enough when the middle-aged man he just knew was the owner of the foundation defended him. Sweeping a fairly large garden which is located on the left side of the building is enough to make him grateful compared to if Mike knew about this incident.
"It seems that he is indeed targeting me as a target for bullying."
Devan was so irritated when he remembered that pretentiously domineering face. He didn't serve Nathan, not because he was afraid, Devan just didn't want to deal with unimportant people, that's all.
"Auch!"
"If you sweep, you have to be clean. Here again!"
Devan regretted that he had time to think about the astral beings who were now present to disturb him. The throw of rambutan bark from the top of the tree made him raise his head.
"I know you don't like me for reasons I don't know. But can you not bother me? I want to go to school in peace. If necessary I will apologize repeatedly until you no longer have any intention of bothering me."
Devan almost screamed anxiously when Nathan immediately came down from the rambutan tree with only a slight jump. The gust of wind as the man slid down made the broomstick with the long algae he was holding onto fall down. The man who seemed to be looking at him with his head down seemed to hypnotize him by chasing his eyes to meet each other.
"You're the kind of person who likes to talk at length like this, huh? You need to know, that this is not the kind of response I want from you."
Devan tried to suppress his emotions, whispering with emphasis, and a tap on the shoulder seemed to make him realize that the man was like a school devil. His eyes met face to face for the second time, the image of fire that seemed to emanate in his eyes symbolized that the man had a hot aura.
The second disturbance from the school devil, Devan wasn't sure if he would be patient if there was a third time!
