Velma woke up and found herself alone in Mark's bed.
She looked around and found her clothes, which were folded and placed on the desk.
She felt a bit disappointed, as she started to dress.
While she was dressing, her thoughts were messed up.
But suddenly two hands wrapped around her, making her jump in surprise.
She came back to her senses and looked at the owner of the arms.
"Mark!"
"Good morning. Had a nice sleep?" he asked.
Velma turned around dropping her arms around him. She raised her toes and joined his lips.
"A morning can be good, only with a good morning kiss," she said after breaking the kiss.
Mark looked surprised but nodded with a smile.
"you know Mark? looking at your smile is so lovely... I never once saw you smile before your Amnesia. I hope you could smile like this, even after you get your memories back." She said.
Mark looked down without saying anything for a while then he looked into her eyes and spoke,
"Velma, I want to ask you something."
He said with a serious tone.
She didn't say anything just nodded her head.
"if I could never get my memories back, will you still stay with me?" he asked as the air turned serious.
She looked at him for a few seconds then hugged him.
"I will, even if you have your memories or not, I love you. Besides... I like this side of yours more..."
She giggled.
Inside the Principal's office, the Head Mistress was sitting at her desk.
She looked relaxed.
"sigh... Whoever it was, they did not mean any harm to us."
She said, recalling the phenomenon from yesterday,
She got up and retrieved a key from the drawer, and went outside.
Mark and Velma both went to the cafeteria after taking a shower.
they grabbed the usual bread and meat soup.
The fragrance of the soup made his stomach growl in anticipation.
Mark noticed that Velma is unusually quiet and expressionless.
as they were eating, Mark asked, "What is this soup?"
Velma looked up from her plate, "it's centipede meat."
suddenly his spoon dropped. he looked at her eating it with passion and sighed.
'looks like, I have to get used to this. the sooner the better.'
after they both finished their breakfast they went outside for a stroll.
"Hey, Velma, why are you acting differently, today?"
he asked noticing her attitude is different from when they were alone.
she chuckled and crossed her arms around his.
"that's because it's cool, before your amnesia you were also very cold and distant. many people will admire you from distance but will never approach you. so I decided to try acting like this... and with time, it became the second personality of mine." she laughed.
"you're a strange one..." he smiled.
"do you have any plans today?" she asked.
"not really... I will be taking classes regularly from next week," he said.
"then let's go to the library," she suggested.
"sure."
As they were busy chatting, they arrived at the Academy's library.
It's one of the highlights of this Academy.
it contains millions of books, from all over the nation.
from records to spells, everything is available for students and teachers.
they went inside and started to look for books to pass time.
as they were studying, Mark looked at the end of the corridor.
'what is the headmistress doing here?' he didn't really care about though.
but suddenly.
<< ding >>
<< secret note detected. >>
He frowned looking at the screen. Then he looked at the book he was reading.
The book is about the records of the adventurers and some pictures of the ancient language, from the depths of the abyss.
He looked at the article about the God of Harvest.
There he noticed a picture of a piece of the boulder,
'hey, system? Is this the secret note?'
<< affirmative. The secret message was decoded successfully. >>
<< When the three moons merge, the entire night sky will be engulfed by the darkness. The entity will return. >>
Mark looked at the Screen with wide eyes.
"Hey, Mark? You alright?" Velma asked with a worried tone, noticing his strange actions.
Mark coughed and straightened his back.
'three moons merge? What is this?'
Then he decided to ask her, "umm... Velma, how many moons are there in our world?"
"Two...what about it?"
"I see..." he was lost in his thoughts.
"Actually there's another one which appears every 100 years," she said after a pause.
"!!!"
"what?" he was getting the gist of it.
'if that is true... Then it must be on one of those nights...'
"yes, that's true... However, I had never seen it. If you want to know more, you can find some records about it."
She said and closed her book.
"I will take you there..."
She dragged him along with her to another side of the building.
Then she showed him a particular section of books and records regarding the three moons, and the spirit dance.
"How did you know it was here?" he asked curiously.
"well, I spent a lot of time here so I have a pretty good idea... This is also where I first met you."
She said and took out a book from the shelves.
"oh, really?" he asked.
"yes, you were finding some books about forging." she checked and they both return to their bench.
Mark started to read from the beginning, he was immersed in studying the book that he lost track of time.
'here it is... Once in every billion years, the three moons will come together, and overlap each other.'
'This is something relatable!'
He exclaimed after reading a lot of statements and predictions. They were nothing but trash.
But this is something relatable...
He then decided to give the headmistress a visit, about the boulder.
Then he remembered seeing her before, he decided to talk to her.
He went to the other side of the library and looked over there.
He saw the staff room. He then knocked on the door.
As expected a female voice resounded.
"Who is it?"
Mark was startled. He responded, "it's me, Mark!"
He knew the owner of the voice, it was the HeadMistress so he used his name.
"oh! Mark? Wait..."
The door opened, and the HeadMistress looked at him and pulled him inside.
"Woah..."
Looking around, Mark found himself around a bunch of boxes.
"what is it?" she asked noticing his gaze.
"I want to talk about something important," he said as he opened the book in his hand.
"go ahead," she said.
"looks at this." he showed the picture of the boulder.
"This..." she looked confused.
"this boulder, I think, I understand the language written in this."
He said with a confident tone.
She looked at him strangely then spoke, "Mark you... You sure?"
"I do, but I think there is more into this than it looks in the picture." He said.
She looked at some records, then spoke, "this item is auctioned off. But the good news is the owner is a good friend of mine if you want we can go and have a look?"
She then had an idea, she immediately moved the boxes and retrieved a rusty sword.
"Hey, look at this..." she showed him the sword.
Before he could even look at this his system popped up.
<< hidden artifact detected,
'Star God's Slaughterer'. goes by this name and had an affinity with Dark and Void elements. >>
<< this is a tier 11 weapon >>
Mark looked at the screen with a dumbfounded expression.
"Hey, look at this, there is something written on it."
She showed him the halt, where some letters similar to the boulders were written.
He used his system and decodes the text.
"Kang Lu!" he mumbled.
"here you can have this," she said as she passed it to him.
He looked at her with surprise.
"even though this looks rusty it is very sturdy. It is perfect for you."
Mark cries inwardly, 'this is a freaking tier 11 sword! of course it will be sturdy,'
