When we got to our driveway, I stopped the car and we both came out.
"Your house seems nice, she said, slowly walking down the driveway until we reached the veranda.
"Yeah, it's not like we are neighbors or anything and this is the first time you've seen my house," I said sarcastically.
"This is what I get for giving a compliment and you wonder why I don't do it too often." She glared at me, and that never failed to make me smile.
"I don't see your dog anywhere," she said as she looked around.
"Oh, we usually keep him at the backyard when we are not at home. Otherwise, he might end up destroying everything in the house," I said before nodding towards the front door. "Ladies first."
