It is over a year since the king overcame the wizard, Klofa and his dragon with the knife turned mighty sword. The news of the powerful knife had spread like wild fire burning over large forest land.
The news had been spread all over the city and beyond. An artifact merchant and billionaire, Mr. Chebat, is seriously interested in the silver coloured knife.
He has numerous ancient collection of artifacts in his private museum. He heard of the powers of this knife left for king Richard, by the defenders. And he had been lusting over having the knife as one of his private museum collections.
In his desperation, he has sent spies to the palace museum severally to take the pictures of the knife. He is obsessed with the knife. He wanted them at all cost.
And because of his obsession for the knife, he contacted the bad gang to steal the knife for one million dollars for him. The gang whose name is "the vulture" had done several jobs for him in the past.
They swarm into action with the plan to get the knife from the palace museum.
Ever since king Richard defeated the wizard, Klofa, in the sword fight in the underground coal mine facility and the dragon in the palace, people of the city and even beyond have been trooping in large numbers to the palace museum. They visited to sight the powerful objeect that brought down the wizard and dragon.
The gang, "the vulture" members were not left out. They visited the museum not just to sight the knife for fun sake but to survey the palace museum and it environment for their operation.
They came to the museum more than four times taking pictures and checking for loop-holes to break-in into the museum unnotice. But they realized the place is heavily guard especially where the silver coloured knife is kept.
There are close circuit television (CCTV) cameras with guards everywhere in the museum. The vulture will not back down even with all the security measures discovered in the museum.
One million dollars is not the kind of money the gang will want to throw away just like that. They perfected their plans and concluded the operation will be carried out in the night.
The night of the operation, the two guys sent dressed in black with mask in their faces. Since the security in the entrance and exit doors and even inside of the museum is very tight both in the day and night, they entered through the air conditioner vent.
The vent led them to the room where the treasure knife is kept. They already had the pictures of the room which they placed in front of CCTV cameras to prevent the guards in monitoring room from seeing them.
They took the knife from the room without any guard noticing. They returned through the vent successfully.
The guards arrived in the morning to discovered the knife had been stolen. The guards in the room resume work 6am and close by 8pm daily.
The vulture carried out their operation about 11pm in the night. The break-in was reported by the guards to their superior who informed the king immediately.
Police investigation team, head, Mr. John Cardinal was immediately called to the scene. He invited the forensic team to the scene to carry out spot search to see if the suspects left any trace.
Thereafter, he invited all the museum guards for questioning at the police office. He couldn't possibly hold any guard after the questioning.
Fortunately for Mr. John, the forensic team were successful in search for clue to uncover identity of the intruders. In the course of their search, they discovered the suspects fingers print in the vent way.
And tests carried out on the samples came out with positive identification of the suspects.
Meanwhile, the gang leader, Mr. Gart Fhino had delivered the knife to Mr. Chebat, who had transferred sum of one million dollars into his account.
They had finished the deal with no trace, they concluded. Mr. Chebat and the vulture gang had gone their separate ways.
Mr.John Cardinal and his team now have the names of the suspect and their location. He then send two of his private investigators to tail the two suspects for ease arrest.
The king is worried that it's nearly one month that the knife has been stolen. He hasn't been briefed of the new development from the police headquarters.
The city needs to be prepared for any invasion of adversaries. The police men had tailed the two suspects to their address.
They had located their resident and reported back to their boss, Mr. John Cardinal.
Two SWAT teams were sent to the suspects' residents to arrest them.
The suspects did everything humanly possible not to leave any trace in the museum room where the knife was kept.
Unfortunately for them, there fingers print were found in the vent way. They didn't know their identities are already known to the police.
They were apprehended easily in their residents by the SWAT teams. They were then brought to the police headquarters for interrogation.
The two residents were searched for the knife. They searched with no success as the knife is not in the two apartments.
The suspects denied involvement in the robbery during the interrogation. They claimed they were at a club, Vale Spot, to have fun and drink the night of the incident.
The CCTV cameras in the club also confirmed their presence in the club between 9pm and 11pm. They claimed they left the club about 11pm for their residents.
Police team however, could not proof they actually left for their residents as they claimed. The investigation team decided to check their bank accounts for any inflow within the last one month.
It was a breakthrough move as they discovered payments from Mr. Gart Fhino. Mr. Gart Fhino was later discovered to be the leader of vulture gang in the city.
Mr. Gart Fhino's bank account was also checked. It was uncovered that he too received inflow of one million dollars from Mr. Chebat, a billionaire, an artifact merchant, who owed a private museum in the city. It was cleared to the team they were involved.
The two men were arrested and interrogated for their alleged involvement in the missing knife. While the interrogation of the two men were going on, the investigation team got court warrant to search the private museum of Mr. Chebat.
The search team were despatched immediately to where the private museum is located. The knife is actually sitting in one of the showcase in the private museum when the police search team got there.
It was a relief to Mr. John Cardinal when the news was finally announced to him that the treasure knife is in police custody.
He and his team took the silver coloured knife back to the palace to hand it over to the king.
The king expressed his appreciation to the police investigation team for recovery of the knife from the thieves.
Mr. Chebat and his accomplices in the crime were charged to court for further proper litigation process.
