Malachi's point of view
"Oh! Hey Yudia!" Lily said, petting the cat; "Did we disturb your nap, hmm? How did you know we needed this?" She laughed then stopped petting the cat. She grabbed the ring the cat brought. Yudia the black cat miaowed and went back to sleep on Lily's lap.
"What does it do? Does it boost healing or is it a space ring?" I asked. She looked at me with her mouth slightly open. "Oh you actually know about that stuff?" she asked me. "Well no duh, Lily. I am a gamer." I said; "Or did you forget?"
"Oh! Yeah!" Lily said; "Forgot about that. Anyways.." She held up the ring. 'It sure is surprising how fast she changed behavior. "How do you use this thing again?" She said more to herself. "I-" Before I could say anything a bunch of object fell around us on the bed. Bam! Lily winced after I did. An object had fallen on my head. "Damned clumsy knot." I muttered under my breath. "Hey, I heard that. You're pretty bad too." Lily said. I scowled "At least I don't hurt others with my magic." I threw back. Lily looked down at her wounds. "Uhuh." She said; "Whatever you say."
I scowled. "Those were your fault. You pissed me off." I said. Lily shrugged. "What can I say? Your anger is pretty..." Lily said and smirked; "Amusing. Isn't that right, Yudia?" She started petting the black cat again. Yudia meowed in reply. I glared at the cat. "Aren't you supposed to be mine? Why are you taking her side." I said. "Well you see. You don't want the woman so you don't get the child." Lily said. "Good. I want neither. It isn't that great anyway." I replied.
"That it is a he and he's plenty times more beautiful then you." Lily replied. "Good, then at least he will get all your attention instead of me. A million problems less." I heard Lily scowl. "Okay, die then. See how you will get back to her without my precious baby." She said; "We'll should only use the yauria fruit on me okay, right Yudia? Let poor Malachi over here suffer."
Yudia looked at Lily then shook his head. "Hah see he doesn't agree-" I said. As I was talking the thing that had fallen on my head was brought to Lily. It looked like a fruit. It seems similar to a... pineapple? "I don't tink so he just used magic to give me the yauria fruit. My sister had given it to me when I moved to this place." Lily said. Yudia meowed in agreement. "You damned cat. How dare you!" I said to the cat.
"Hey, hey, hey! Don't curse the poor creature out! It's supposed to be your protector." She said; "So cute he is. How could you curse this beautiful piece of art. It's okay he's mean but you can't let anyone bully him except for me and you. Yes?" The cat nodded and then stood on its four paws. "H-hey... Yudia buddy. What are you doing?" I said. I winced as the cat rubbed against my wounds. "Isn't this going too far?"
"Yudia, don't infect Malachi's wounds. If he dies I'll be a widow and have no one to annoy." Lily said. "Yeah!" I was about to agree; "Hey wait-"
"Ah!" Suddenly my wounds started burning. I felt like my body was being burned alive. "It hurts! Make it stop!"
Lily reached over. "Malachi? What's going on?" I felt her hand touching me. Surprisingly it soothed the pain a little. "Purifying method?" I heard her mumble. Strange that I can hear her mutters while in such a pain. "Are you from the black fire Yauria clan?" I heard her say. "I see... well I guess it's time to be a useful wife." She said and removed her hand. The pain became unbearable again. 'A useful wife my ass.' I thought.
I felt familiar magic pull me straight up and closer to Lily. Once again the pain went away. A sudden coldness suddenly surrounded me. Still there was a hot fire. "That damned cat." I said out loud. "Stop cursing the cat and focus on cultivating. This is probably the best opportunity to come too you. Purifying by a black fire Yauria is lethal but not as lethal as the red fire Yauria. Now you can probably gain better magic control on your element. Plus Yauria's are hard to come by." Lily said.
"How do I focus?" I asked. "Remember the carnation from earlier try to form it between your hands." Lily replied. "But what if its explosive again?" I asked. "It should be fine. You aren't pissed right now, right?" She replied
"What will you do in the meantime? Won't your favorite source of entertainment be gone?" I asked. I heard her chuckle. "Oh don't worry if I want I can just..." She said then I felt the burning intensify again; "Do that. I can calm the flame or increase. Your terrible luck for marrying to an air user."
"Now, focus. In the meantime I can think on how we can prevent our deaths..." Lily said. "We need to somehow get stronger without Queen Rianna finding out that we're weaker than we're supposed to be.
"Didn't we prevent death already?" I asked "We have until that event right? Next month."
I heard Lily scoff. "We've basically become main characters. You really think she'll leave us alone. She's probably planning our deaths right now. Yours especially. You're basically standing in the way of her dreams. She probably want to eliminate you in the worst way." She said.
"But if we're main characters then we have the never die card right too, right?" I asked. "We've become main characters in my romance book, Does that mean that you'll fall in love no matter my behavior?' Lily retorted. I stayed quiet. "I- No but They're not like us. We are actually real." I said.
Lily sighed. "I don't think so. A lot can happen because Malachi from my story wasn't really developed. Just like you created a carnation..."
"Well one thing is sure. I won't fall in love with you." I stated with a firm surety.
"Yeah... I know..." Lily replied. Suddenly the pain came back. I winced. "Lily!" I exclaimed. "Ohh I'm sorry! Sorry I lost control." Lily said.
The pain then went away. "It's okay, now."
