Chapter 4 - Chapter 4 Losing sanity?

"This is bullcrap!" i said finishing reading. "Utter bull!" I threw the paper on the table and glared at it. "No one in their right mind would do that." I muttered as I Massaged my forehead. 'You would.' The small thought came into my head. I Shook my head. "Nope. No way." I said and looked at my hand. "My parents didn't raise me like this." Again my inner voice spoke. 'But your parents aren't here. You're free of the rules. You have everything in the palm of your hands.' I snorted. "If I had everything, I wouldn't be facing this outrageous problem." I sighed and got up.

"Wacht, mevrouw! (Wait, Ma'am)" I heard what sounded like an old man 's voice say. Dutch? I thought. 'Yes." I said colder than Intended to. My gaze must have frightened him too. For his next words didn't sound so confident. "Uh... P-Praat u Nederlands mevrouw? (Do you speak Dutch?)"I heard the old man say. He was old enough to be my grandfather. I gave him the sweetest smile I could muster. "Ja, meneer ik begrijp en spreek wel Nederlands. (Yes, sir I do understand and speak Dutch.)" I said.

The old man smiled and his shoulders relaxed. "U moet betalen voor uw eten mevrouw. (You have to pay for your food ma'am)" He said. "De vrouw met wie ik hier kwam had niet betaalt voor de maaltijd?(The woman I came here with did not pay for the meal?)" I asked. The man shook his head no. My mouth fell open. "Hoeveel zal het dan kosten? (how much will it kost then?)" I asked. "Een zilveren munt (One silver coin)." He replied. I grabbed the purse melody gave me and saw only gold coins. I grabbed a piece of cloth I found in the purse and put 10 gold coins in there. "Hier. Ik heb geen zilveren munt. (Here I don't have a silver coin." I said placing the money wrapped cloth in his hand.

The old man's eyes widened at the weight of the golden coins. His eyes softened and brimmed with when he felt the smooth surface through the cloth. 'He must've been long in the business to immediately recognize this. Or perhaps he's originally from the earth kingdom." "Dank U. Ik zal always be in your debt. (Thank you. I will always be in your debt." The man said unsure of his words. I smiled at the elder trying. "Geen probleem.(No problem.)" I replied. "Wat is uw naam. (What is your name.)" He asked. I thought for a moment of what to say. Then I wisphered in his ear: "Zeg dit nooit aan iemand. (Never tell this to anyone.) Ik heet Lilianna, Princess Lilianna. (My name is Lilianna, Princess Lilianna." The old man smiled and nodded. I walked away back to the portal.

"Melody!" I yelled the moment I came back. "Yes, dear. What's wrong?" Melody said with an innocent smile. My eyes burned with rage. "What's wrong? Why did you not pay for the bill! What if I didn't have any money." I replied. She shrugged. "I gave you money didn't I? Plus you can just make any amount of money appear as a system." She said nonchalantly. "There is no use of that possibility existing If I don't know that it exists!" I replied. She shrugged once again. "Well now you know. Stop making a big deal out of nothing."

"You're answers are not helping! you're current attitude is seriously inferiorating." I replied trying to control my anger."Oh yeah and what the hell is this?!" I said throwing the document on the table. Melody glanced at the paper. "It is what you read on there. The term of agreements to get a permanent body." She replied. "What's there not to understand about that?"

"You make it sound like it's completely logical and normal. " I said sitting down most of my anger gone. "It is. Just do what it asks and voila you have what you want." Melody said. I sighed, maybe this is not what I want." I said. "If it's not then why are you still talking about it. You can just live as a system by his side forever." Melody said. "Gosh that sounds terrible." I replied. "Exactly so just agree to the terms and voila you're married to your dream guy." Melody said.

"He is not dream guy." I remarked. "Crush, dream guy, same thing." Melody said. "After all If he wasn't he wouldn't even be here." I looked at her. "So you're saying this mess is my fault.?" I asked. "Well..." She said smilingly. "You did write this book and you did keep on thinking about him... So..."

"Okay. Enough." I said, waving her off with my hand. "You're smile while reprimanding me is sickening." Then I continued to look at my hand. "But... The terms... I don't think It's a good idea."

"Having trouble?" Melody said in a soft tone. "I... I'm just worried..." I said; "What if he hates me after we're married and w-what if... I actually fall in love with him..." A tear streamed down my cheek. "He's my assistant in the real world. And he likes the other class president. I... What if I can never face him again? What if I lose my ability to write songs again,,, The ability to feel..." I continued. "I'm not ready..." Then I felt a hand on my shoulders.

"Well... That's just life. Plus If he fails to return you'll never return. You have people waiting at home for you. Have you forgotten? Your mom, dad, sister. Joseline, Jasmine and Nashline. Have you forgotten those 3 girls are getting a sibling too? Return quickly, my dear." Melody said. For the first time I heard her speak like this. She had an almost... motherly tone. And she was right I needed to return... home. I looked back to the paper. "But is it worth sacrificing my sanity to transfer into the princess's body? This is..." I voiced my thoughts.

"Madness. It is total madness. But that is a world without rules. Total Chaos and madness." Melody replied. Then she looked straight into my eyes with the most serious look I've ever seen her give. "So my queen. Make a choice already. Nothing is free in life. What will it be? Will you give up control on your sanity? Take a risk... Time is ticking... They are meeting... Your people are waiting..."
