It's a strange place, where time and space have folded into pockets and mixed themselves into madness. Some pockets have the enormous creatures of the past - mega fauna and mega flora, gigantic insects and air stuffed full of oxygen. Others have the dinosaurs, coexisting despite the different epochs they lived in. There are seascapes floating the skies, and magma flows rippling out from the centre of the earth.
There are extra worlds mixed in too - places with acid instead of air, and monsters in place of men.
No one knows how this happened. No one knows why, or how to fix it. This is our world now, and it is senseless in all aspects.
The most senseless part is the magic. It twists people into inhuman shapes - sprouting tails, or scales, or fins. It corrupts people, granting them power beyond human capacity, and deludes them into thinking the world is theirs.
The magic corrodes away the very core of humanity within you, and by the time you notice it missing, you no longer care.
Magic makes monsters of men, and they run rampant in this world - unfettered and free and terrible.
Those that remain human hide in walled cities - terrified of the dark things that roam the outside world. They capture children with magic, and turn them into tools to protect themselves, without care for whether these 'assets' live or die.
Men gather monsters at their heels, and train their own destruction to kill.
This is the world where Jason has lived twice. Perhaps, third time will be the charm…
