Eloise's POV:
By the time I reached the apartment, the sun was already up. This meant I wouldn't have to sleep for the entire night.
"This is great." I yawned as I pushed the door open.
The attacker at the ball had run away. The Stone Pack's Alpha said he would continue investigating this, but we all knew it was difficult to get to the bottom of this, just like Lisa's car accident that year.
Despite Atticus trying his best to investigate, he still couldn't find the killer.
The biggest victim of the attack was the heir, who had just turned eighteen. This was supposed to be his coming-of-age ceremony, but now he had to apologize to the guests.
But that wasn't his fault, and it had nothing to do with me.
This had nothing to do with me from the moment I received the money. What I had to do next was to continue working.
It was possible that I wouldn't have any contact with the pack from today onward.
