Eloise's POV:
When Hanna and I arrived downstairs, Atticus was already there.
Of course, he had the right to do so. After all, he did spend money to book the same tour guide as us.
I pulled my clothes closer to my body. When I saw him, I felt cold all over.
"If you're ready, we can set off," the guide said seriously.
"Do you all remember what I said before?"
Of course. She had reminded him that he needed to bring enough warm clothes, food, and water when we went up the mountain. This was all out of safety considerations.
And most importantly, no one could be left behind. The consequences of being left behind on the mountain were almost fatal.
At this time of the day, the weather was still considered cool. So we followed the route that we'd already chosen up the mountain.
The sun rose faster than we could move, and the scenery on the mountain changed drastically.
