A roar of laughter could be heard as a group of teenage boys exit out of a movie theater on a late Friday night. The four boys were close friends, maybe even as close as blood brothers. The four had just finished watching the latest Spiderman movie and were full of teenage excitement. The mystical high of being in a jam packed movie theater, full of strangers were still lingering onto the group of boys as they walked down the street.
"Boy get your Ned ass out of here!" Shouted one of the boys to another as they all burst out into laughter.
"Shii at least I would've done more than him" Samuel responded back. Out of the group, he was the only one of Asian lineage and just so happened to be in similar build and look of Jacob Batalon. "Dude was hella lame. Why fall in love with a girl on the plane trip just to break up again at the end of the movie. I mean it's what I would've done the same too but GODDMAN! It's been years since Far From Home, How is he still acting like a kid?"
Samuel walked ahead of the group before turning around to face them. The group kept on walking with Samuel walking backwards inorder to conversate better.
"Well it's wouldn't be your first time again either. After what happened with you and Heather." Josh said. "She just kept stringing you along and you did nothing. but yet after your 'last' break up you just said it's."
""""What adults do"""" The four spoke in unison with Samuel rolling his eyes. He stopped walking as he tried to explain his wild months of emotional entanglement to his friends.
"Y'all wouldn't get it. We've both moved on because I've realized that I'm but better than how she's been treating me. Now your boy is free of ladies and ready to make sorry decis-"
SCREEEECH!
THUD!
Only a blur of a white vehicle can be seen by the boys as the figure of their friend disappeared in an instant. The night was dark and the hanging street light could barely illuminate the corner that the group was standing on. Besides the sad yellow buzzing of the over head light, the only other color were the red from the street signal and the truck that came on to a sudden halt.
"Oh...holy shit!" Screamed out Josh as his vision starts to blur. His eyes darted around the quiet night has he search franticly for the driver. "What the fuck did you do!!" Josh started running towards the door of the vehicle with a flying rage.
"Woah woah there buddie." Yelled out the tipsy driver as he slowly make his way out of the truck. "He *HIC* was standing in the middle of the roud" The man was slurring his words in coherently as a fist from Josh landed on his face.
The other two friends, Benji and Daniel slowly recoverd from their shock as they chase after josh. They reached out to pull him off the driver to avoid any further incidents from happening, even if they wished to join in and inflict the pain they're feeling. "We can't do this Josh. We need to call 911 now!"
In the distance the sound of sirens can be heard as the group of friends weren't the only ones on the street. Some other movie goers saw the horrible accident and called for the authorities almost right away. Another group approached the boys to try to defuse the situation and calm down their anger and sudden grief.
While just a few feet away laid Samuel's rapidly dying body. His neural system began firing at lighting speed to try to make sense of the situation. His heart began beating like a drum trying to push blood to his organs that don't seem to be connected anymore. The bones of his legs were shattered beyond what his family could avoid to repair. With his body and consciousness slowly fading away. Only two words and a smile appeared during his last moments.
"Fucking Truck-kun"
