"Where… where are we going?'' Jolene stuttered nervously.
"Go to this address.'' Kai stretched his hand and pressed the board and a GPS appeared.
"Okay…'' Jolene put on her seatbelt and started the car. She drove it slowly out of the car park into the main road.
"Brown, if you continue to drive this slowly, I might not be able to control myself. I'm actually using all the energy in me to not bounce on you right now!'' Kai said from the backseat.
"Then… sit tightly!'' Jolene said and sped off at once. She followed the GPS until they reached a particular house. It was quite big. The giant gate opened by themselves when the header of the light blinked.
Jolene was amazed by the technology used in building the house. She pulled over and got down.
"Senior… we are here...'' Jolene opened the backdoor and helped Kai out.
"Here is okay! Take my wallet, there is enough money inside for you to take a taxi. Go home straight.'' Kai said and turned towards the door.
"Senior, will you be alright? Is there someone to take care of you?'' Jolene asked.
Kai chuckled. "I live alone. that is why it is dangerous to have you here, Brown. Go home.''
Jolene nodded her head and turned, walking away. Kai struggled and finally got inside the house and closed the door,
Jolene walked to the gate and turned to look at the house worriedly. "Will he be alright? He seemed to be in serious pain.''
Jolene was about to open the door and stopped. She turned and suddenly started walking towards the door again. She ran to the door and rang the bell nonstop.
After a few more times, Jolene turned to leave and the door finally opened. Kai appeared at the doorstep with a robe around his body. He looked at Jolene with a darkened gaze and asked.
"Brown, what are you still doing here?''
"I thought about this. I can't leave you alone. Tell me, how can I help you?'' Jolene asked.
"Brown, you are treading on a dangerous line. You better leave right now!'' Kai said. He was sweating profusely.
"I read a book and learnt that when something like this happens, you can help relief the desire by…'' Jolene stretched her hand and curled it back shyly.
"I warned you, Brown!'' Kai said and pulled her inside before closing the door.
….
Present time…
Jolene came back to her senses and shook her head. She looked at her time and stood up, going back to the emergency ward.
"JoJo, where did you go to?'' Mrs. Abdul asked when she saw Jolene walking to them.
"Have you made up your mind?'' Mr. Abdul asked.
"Dad, I'm sorry but I won't get rid of this pregnancy!'' Jolene said.
"What? Hey! Have you gone crazy? Do you know what you are talking about?'' Mr. Abdul said loudly and the people inside the ER looked at them.
"I am not crazy. I'm sorry, daddy'' Jolene said and walked out of the hospital. Her parents were shocked to say the least.
….
Jolene walked out of the house with her luggage. She pulled the bag out and saw her best friend, Rosa standing beside a taxi waiting for her.
"JoJo…'' Rosa hugged Jolene and asked, 'are you alright?''
Jolene shook her head. "I'm not fine, Rosa. I'm scared.''
"It's alright! You have me with you. You made the right decision.'' Rosa said and helped Jolene with the bag into the car.
Jolene placed her head on Rosa's shoulder as the car drove away. She closed her eyes.
"JoJo, are you sure Kai doesn't need to know about this?'' Rosa asked. She was Jolene's best friend. Jolene had told her everything that happened between her and Kai that night. It was also Rosa who advised her against getting an abortion.
"No, I can't tell him. He wasn't in his right mind. Technically, I forced myself on him.''
"But he…''
"Rosa, I still remember the way he looked at me. He was disgusted with me. He told me he could have handled it without my help.''
"That jerk!'' Rosa cursed.
6 YEARS LATER…
"Mummy, mummy… can I go with you to the office tomorrow? I promise to be good. No one will notice I am even there. I will invisible.'' The tiny fingers of the 6-year-old girl gripped the woman's hand tightly as she asked. Her face was beaming with a cute smile as if the woman was the only person she could see in the entire mall.
The woman looked down and smiled. She squatted in front of the girl and rubbed the little girl's hands affectionately saying. "Darling, you know that can't be possible.''
"Mum, please…'' The little girl insisted.
"I told you already. We got a new boss and I heard he doesn't like children. If I send you to the office, we would both come back home. I will be jobless. We can't afford to cross the line, right?''
"That is unfortunately. Then, I will let it be so that mum won't lose her job because of Erica.''
is the most understanding. Mum really is lucky to have you.''
"That new boss better stay away from me. When I meet him, I will bully him to death. I bet he is still a bachelor…''
"Erica, who thought you to say such words?'' The woman looked at the little girl speechlessly. She was taken aback by the girl's words.
"Jolene, don't worry. I will definitely take revenge for you.'' Erica said and her mother stood up and chuckled as she looked at her.
"Okay… I bet you would…'' Jolene replied and turned to the shelf to pick a few things. Erica held the carte as she watched her mother.
"Mum, you need to be careful with your boss. He won't be a good person since he hates children. To think I wanted to check him out and see if he was worthy of being my father. Tsk! I guess I have to keep looking.'' Erica muttered but Jolene didn't hear the last part of her words. If she had heard the little girl's words she would have definitely banned her from getting close to her office.
