Viona and Devia looked at each other confused, both then followed several nurses who were half running.
Sure enough, the room where the voice came from turned out to be Orchid 02, the room where Daniel was treated.
The two of them also walked into the room where Daniel was seen struggling in the arms of a male nurse and James Lawson, Daniel's brother trying to lay Daniel's body on the bed.
Meanwhile, a female nurse that Viona and Devia had been following, injected what seemed to be a sedative into Daniel's IV line.
In the struggle, Vio's eyes and Daniel's eyes met. Daniel even had time to shout the word 'vampire' with a frightened expression before Daniel's eyes finally dimmed and he lost consciousness. He finally fell asleep peacefully.
Vio stood there while stunned, hugging Devia who Vio realized that she was crying on her shoulder.
"Did you hear that word? Did you hear what Daniel just said?" James said while holding the edge of the bed. He then turned to Vio and Devia while the nurse who had come had left the Orchid 02 room.
"Vampire, Vio, Devia. Daniel mentions the word 'vampire'. It wasn't the animal that attacked my sister as reported. But, vampires."
Vio gulped. She knew for sure that it was a vampire. Ash Devon who attacked Daniel. But, should she tell James about all that?
Because honestly, Vio feel so sorry for James. The man who was about twenty-six years old the same age as Aunt Raina looked very confused.
Of course, his brother almost bled to death and said that he was attacked by a vampire.
Which older brother wouldn't be confused by the words that came out of his younger brother's lips who had just woken up. What's more, so far for people, vampires are just mythical creatures that only exist in novels or television series.
Vio thought to tell the truth about vampires that she knew when suddenly the corner of her eyes seemed to catch a shadow flashing in the open door of the room.
She turned her head but saw nothing.
What was that?
Had she seen it wrong?
"Ah, I'm sorry, Vio, Devia. I must have scared you. Come on, please sit down! You want to see Daniel, right?"
James' words just now made Vio turn away from the door and turn back to James. The man took two chairs from the side of the bed and placed them near Vio and Devia.
"Don't bother, James," Viona snapped when James took out two cups of mineral water. James nodded and placed the cup on the table. Just in case Viona and Devia want to drink it later.
Devia's chosen fruit parcel has been handed over by Devia to James.
"Thank you," said James when he received a parcel of Daniel's favorite fruit that Devia had chosen.
"Aunt Raina also sends her regards, James. He is currently out of town. The plan was that when she returned from out of town, Aunt Raina would come to visit Daniel. This is a fruit parcel from Aunt Raina." Viona delivered a message from Aunt Raina to James.
Aunt Raina has a crush on James who is an executive at an event organizer company.
They met several times when James was negotiating and cooperating with the company's new product promotion business where Aunt Raina worked.
Business lunches interspersed with small talk became the opening of their closeness.
It's just that Viona doesn't know for sure how close the relationship is between two of them.
A few minutes the three of them chatted together until finally Viona and Devia said goodbye to go home for fear of the night.
Their conversation earlier was also just ordinary things without Viona touching the 'vampire' part that Vio had intended to say to James.
Because for some reason Vio felt that the splendor that she had seen at the open door was not an ordinary glow.
Just like with the entrance earlier, after getting out of the elevator, Viona and Devia walked down a deserted corridor. Of course, because the day had turned into night.
Soon Vio felt a not too strong wind hit her back and somehow, even without Vio having to turn around, Vio could tell that someone was standing there.
It was him.
Vampire.
And the vampire was standing behind her.
