Chereads / Suddenly, A Vampire Came / Chapter 10 - Outside The Window

Chapter 10 - Outside The Window

Vio ran as fast as she could, avoiding some rocks and twigs that could make her fall. The girl did not dare to look back, for fear, it would only slow down her run. Until then Viona breathlessly arrived at the door when Devia opened it.

"Sister Vio, where are you from?"

After being kidnapped by a vampire, said Vio. But, of course that's just what she said in her heart.

"All this time Devia was looking for sister." Devi said again.

Viona sighed. Seems like she is been running a lot lately.

"Sister Vio, Sister Vio why are you silent?" Devia asked again.

"I am tired, De," Vio complained as she sat on the edge of the terrace. She held on to the edge while her back leaned against the post near the terrace steps.

"Tired? Are you tired, where have you been, sister Vio?" Devia asked again.

Chased by vampires. "Do sport." Vio answered origin. Running is also a sport right? So, in this case she is not completely lying.

"Sport? At this time of night?" Devia asked surprised.

Viona nodded. "Yup, I think I have gotten too fat."

Devia narrowed her eyes. "Sister, with a height of 166 cm and a weight of 51 kg, you are quite skinny. You should add another 3 or 4 kg to make it ideal. Not reduce it."

Viona smirked hearing Devia's comment.

The girl then stood up and walked in.

"Where are you going sister?" Devia asked.

"I want to drink. My throat is very thirsty."

"Let me get your drink, you said that you was tired from exercising earlier. So, just sit on the couch over there."

To be honest, Viona was really tired, so she accepted the offer.

"This is the drink, Sister," Devia handed a glass of mineral water into Viona's hand, who accepted it happily.

"Thank you, Devia," Viona sipped the water in the glass until it was empty.

"Here, let me get your drink again. Oh by the way, are you hungry? Because i wants to heat the food. Let's all eat together."

"Yes, i am hungry." Viona replied, "I' ll take a shower first, then we'll eat."

Devia nodded. "Okay, sis," she said.

Devia then heated the food and prepared the table, after fifteen minutes Vio came down with sleeping clothes. They eat together.

Just the two of them because Aunt Raina hasn't come home yet. She said there was an office event.

"Sis Vio, after eating, teach me math, okay? There is a matter that Devia doesn't understand."

"Oh, okay." Viona nodded, "I'll teach you after eating."

"Thank you, sis," said Devia. She stirred the food on her plate, "Usually Devia studies with Daniel," said Devia, "But now Daniel ..."

Viona could see tears welling up in the corners of Devia's eyes.

"Daniel will be fine, Devia," Viona tried to calm her sister, "Daniel is a strong person, so he will definitely recover soon," Vio patted the back of Devia's hand, "Oh yes, by the way, have you visited Daniel is in the hospital, Devia?"

Devia shook her head, "Not yet, sis. Do you want to accompany me to visit Daniel at the hospital?"

"Of course I will. I will accompany you to visit Daniel at the hospital."

"When, sis?"

"How about tomorrow?" Viona suggested because tonight she was quite tired, especially since she had an assignment for Miss Chambers that she hadn't finished doing. Otherwise, she might have gone camping with Shawn.

"Okay, sis. Devia agrees. Tomorrow we're going to see Daniel at the hospital."

After dinner, Viona took turns tidying up and cleaning the cutlery, while Devia took her study equipment. As previously agreed, Viona will teach Devia math problems.

Twenty minutes later their study activities were over, Viona and Devia returned to their respective rooms. Usually every night before going to bed, Viona always opens half the curtains on her bedroom window so the morning sun can seep in and wake her up beside her alarm.

However, Viona was so surprised when she saw someone standing at the end of the road. The man was standing in the darkness, his head tilted upwards as if he were indeed looking at her.

Viona jerked back, she immediately pulled the window curtains shut.

What was that?

Who is that?

How could anyone be standing in the dark on that street corner and staring at this house?

To her bedroom window glass. What is he?

With trembling hands, Vio stepped forward and grabbed the edge of the curtain just to make sure that what she had just seen wasn't imaginary.

Slowly but surely she began to pull the curtain.

Blank. It's nothing.

There's nothing there.

Did she really just see wrong?

Vio looked left and right without daring to open the window, but the person she saw just now really wasn't there.

Brakk!

Vio backed away in shock, a scream escaped her lips. Something black had hit the window pane of her room which had a balcony.

Kruuuu! Kruuuu!

"Sister, what are you doing? Why are you shouting?" Devia banged on the door of Vio's room.

Vio immediately opened the door.

"Why, sis? Why are you shouting?" Devia asked again.

"Sister is shocked," Viona replied, "Surprised because something suddenly hit the window glass of my room."

"What's that? What hit the window pane of your room?"

Viona shook her head, "I don't know," she said with a little panic.

Kruuu! Kruuu!

The voice was heard again, Viona and Devia looked at each other. The two of them then walked to the window and peeked. There was a bird with a wounded wing standing there.

"Ah, it turns out that there is an injured bird, sis. We'll just take it, then we'll treat it." Devia turned to open the balcony door.

"No, Devia. We don't know what danger awaits out there," Vio said trying to stop Devia.

"You watch mostly horror movies, it is just a bird." Devia did not heed Viona's prohibition and continued to carry out her intention to open the balcony door to help the bird.

Vio stared with a pounding heart and followed Devia's every move from opening the door to picking up the fallen white black bird.

"Look, sis," Devia lifted the bird in her hand, "this bird's wing is injured, it's only natural that this bird can't fly and just stands here."

Vio looked at the bird while occasionally looking around, in her mind someone could appear and attack them. But, thankfully none of that happened, because they arrived safely back into the room.

Even though before that, Viona had to pull Devia's free hand so she could get back into the room quickly.

"Hello, little bird… how did you get here? Your wings even hurt. What a pity." Devia said while sitting on Vio's bed. Don't forget that she also took the first aid kit to treat the injured bird's wing.

The bird revolted when Devia tried to treat it.

"Calm down, beautiful bird," Devia coaxed, however, the bird in her hand was still struggling.

Knock! Knock!

Devia flicked the bird's forehead twice with her finger. "Shut up, beautiful bird," he said, "I didn't mean to hurt you and just wanted to treat you so you can fly again. Or maybe you want me to pinch your forehead again, don't you?" Devia smiled at the bird.

The bird seemed to understand with Devia's sweet smile which was full of threats. The bird was silent while being treated.

"Well, if you're silent like this, it's good to treat it." Devia smiled happily. She had even finished dressing the bird's wings.

"You're a clever bird. Eh, sister Vio, see this" Devia called, "this black white bird has a blue line on its lower neck, it's very beautiful, isn't it."

Viona stood closer after locking the balcony door. She noticed the bird as Devia said there was indeed a blue line on the lower neck.

Actually it's a common thing in bird feathers, it's just that the pattern is a little unique because it is a zigzag line that is not too sharp.

"What kind of bird is this, sis? Crow huh?"

Viona shook her head, "Are you kidding me, Devia? Of course it's not a crow. It's a pigeon."

"Hehehe," Devia laughed.

Viona couldn't help but smile too, she was happy that at least Devia could laugh even if it was only because of a bird. Because since the attack that happened to Daniel the other day, Devia was more gloomy.

"It's a pigeon huh? It is a beautiful pigeon, isn't it?"

Ting tong.

The doorbell rang.

Viona looked at the clock on the wall, it was nine o'clock at night, it seemed like Raina's aunt had come home, but forgot to bring the key.

"Let my sister open the door, Devia, it looks like Aunt Raina is coming home."

Devia nodded.

"Then Devia will return to my room, Sis."

Viona agreed and then rushed downstairs to open the door, sure enough it was Aunt Raina.

Meanwhile Devia returned to her room looking for an empty box and a soft towel as a bed for the bird.

Carefully she put the white bird there.

"Good night, beautiful bird. Get well soon." Devia stroked the bird's head before opening her wardrobe. She hadn't had time to change into his pajamas yet.

Devia pulled off the clothes on her body leaving the underwear attached to the body. Her hand then reached out to take a set of pajamas that she had prepared and immediately put it on.

"Kru… Urk… urk…"

"What's that?" Devia looked around the room before stopping at the bird she had just placed, "Beautiful bird, is that you? Are you the one with the hiccups?"

"Urk..."

"Ah, how strange," said Devia in surprise, "You were feeling fine, beautiful bird. Then why now suddenly hiccups?" Devia moved her lips in confusion, "Yeah. Then I'll get you a drink. Wait here, beautiful bird." Devia stroked the bird's head before leaving the room to fetch water. Leaving the bird who is now sitting on a soft towel with the hips.

"What was that? It's like I've seen what I shouldn't have seen." The bird covered its eyes with one uninjured wing.

How about this? The bird eyes were stained.
