"What are you looking for, Jake?" Shawn asked when they were outside the tent. The boy then put on the T-shirt he had grabbed when he came out of the tent.
"Ugg… Well… We… I mean I … I forgot to bring firewood."
Shawn turned to Jake, "Seriously, Jake. You really forgot to bring it?"
"Yeah. I've been looking for a shop that sells firewood in this area but, the only shop that sells firewood here is closed because the shop owner's wife gave birth two days ago. I got this information from the owner of the confectionery shop next door. Here's the candy I bought from the shop. Just for you." Jake pulled a bag of candy out of his pocket and handed it to Shawn.
"Camping wouldn't feel like camping without a bonfire," Shawn protested, "what the hell is this anyway. I don't like sweets."
Jake grimaced. "Yes. Yes, I'm sorry, bro. I was distracted by Amy. As for this candy, if you don't like it, just give it to your sister, Allison. That beautiful lady likes candy."
Shawn sighed. What else can we do?
"Uh, where are you going, Shawn?" Jake asked.
"I'm going to look for firewood on this shore. Maybe not much but at least, there might be some that can be found to make a bonfire. Would you like to come with me?" he asked Jake.
"Sure, Shawn! Of course I'm going. I'll be responsible for forgetting to bring firewood to our camp this time."
"Come on, then," said Shawn, "before dark we should have some firewood."
The two of them then walked along the edge of the beach where there were some dry plants that might be used as firewood for the bonfire.
They picked up some dry twigs they encountered along the way. This is a little difficult because looking for firewood on the beach is not as easy as looking for firewood in the forest and it looks like the wood they get is not enough to make a bonfire.
So the two then decided to search separately, Jake to the left while Shawn to the right. A few minutes of walking, Shawn still couldn't find enough dry branches and twigs. He decided to keep moving forward.
Until Shawn finally realized when it was really dark. He remembered that it was still afternoon and the sun was still perched on the edge of the sea. But, why was it suddenly dark when he entered this bay-like area.
Because he felt burdened if he came home empty-handed, Shawn chose to continue.
Maybe up ahead he would find a lot of dry branches and twigs from the dead and dry mangroves, he thought.
Shawn then turned on the cellphone flashlight to light the way
Brtt! Bruck!
Shawn felt like he hit something. No. Not crashing. However, he felt like he had pierced through something and lost his balance a little. However, not to the point of making him fall.
His hand groped the empty air through it but there was nothing.
Shawn was about to turn around when his ears accidentally heard the sound of water splashing along with the laughter of several people, it seemed like women, because his voice sounded feminine to Shawn's ears.
Feeling curious Shawn then walked closer.
Then, Shawn accidentally stepped on a dry branch until it broke. Make the melodious laughter disappear.
Hey, why? Had he scared them? Shawn continued to walk, until now what was heard was a very beautiful singing voice.
The voice was so melodious and so beautiful.
Never before had Shawn heard such a beautiful and attractive voice. Such a charming voice. Like the voice of a goddess from the sky. This voice is truly a sound that spoils the ears of those who hear it.
Shawn felt more and more curious until he quickened his steps towards the place behind the boulder.
Shawn finally jolted on the spot, when he saw a beautiful girl soaking in the water. Her long golden blonde hair fell to frame her face. Although it wasn't very clear because the girl wasn't looking at Shawn.
However, Shawn firmly believed that the girl was beautiful.
Shawn seemed to get the urge to keep going.
"Hi!" said Shawn as he bent over the edge of the water.
The singing stopped as the girl turned and gave way to a muffled scream.
Shawn could see that she was surprised. Of course, as it seemed, Shawn had surprised her. Even though Shawn had tried to rebuke the girl slowly.
"Hey, lady, don't be afraid!" Shawn cried when he saw the girl back off.
The girl shook her head. Shawn saw a drop of clear crystal fall from the girl's eye. Good grief! The girl is crying? What had he done to the girl to make the girl shed tears? Did he misspoke?
"You... You are..." The girl mumbled with her hands covering her lips. She looked at Shawn with a look as if she had known Shawn before and they hadn't seen each other in a long time.
This is really weird. The girl's expression was sad, but also full of longing.
Who is she? "Hi miss, have we seen each other before?" Shawn asked as he knelt down.
Shawn extended his right hand to the girl while thinking. He wondered if he had ever known the blonde girl. However, the result was nil. Shawn felt he had never met the girl before.
"I'm Shawn. My name is Shawn. I..."
"GO!" Shawn was startled by the girl's sudden scream. Why did the girl throw him out? What's wrong with Shawn?
"GO!" The girl screamed again. But, her face looks like she is about to cry. Her gaze occasionally fell on the edge of the water where Shawn was kneeling.
What the hell did she see? "Why should I go? What did I do wrong..."
"Just GO! AND DON'T COME BACK AGAIN!" The girl cut off Shawn's words.
"But..."
"GO!"
Shawn sighed. "All right, lady... All right... I'm going. I'm going." Shawn gave up. He stood up while pulling the outstretched hand which the blonde haired girl ignored.
"Never come back here again!" The girl warned once again.
Shawn just shook his head as he walked away.
What a strange girl, he thought. How can the girl suddenly cry, suddenly angry and then suddenly drive away.
Shawn sighed again. The way she looked at him was also really strange.
Shawn then walked back to the camp. On the way, he realized that in the sky there was currently a lunar eclipse.
