The men appeared a few seconds after Klimo had pressed on the button, and they vanished from the hospital, reappearing right in front of the building with a green signboard on it, in the Arena.
Klimo and the girl entered into the building and at once, all eyes directed their gazes at them.
Their gazes were hostile, yet they said nothing as in front of them were their trainers and they dared not say a word so as not to offend them.
Klimo parted ways with the girl, going to stand directly in front of Diego. Out of the four trainers, he'd seen Diego, Zayne and Cat before, well not in real life but on posters and fliers posted on some ad walls in the city. So he basically knew them.
However, he'd never caught sight of this particular man who had bags under bright blue eyes and a pale face. He looked like he just got out of the hospital. His eyes were barely open and his hands were pocketed. He didn't look like much, neither did his bubble powers.
'Is he really a trainer?' Klimo wondered.
Once everyone's attention was on her, Cat instructed them to draw cards from a big green box beside her. Those cards would group the eighty students into a class of twenty each. And then, one of the trainers would be their homeroom teacher.
Klimo picked a card which had the number 1 printed on it.
And once everyone was done, the trainers themselves picked a card each from the box and whatever number they chose would be the class they would head.
'It just had to be him didn't it?' Klimo thought as the unknown man raised his card up for the students to see. It had the number 1 on it.
The man located his class and addressed them.
"The general test is over. Now, it's time to get your status devices." He said lazily and snapped his fingers.
Bubbles began materializing above the hands of each of the twenty students and each one had a thin, rectangular device inside it and they landed into the students' hands once their palms were opened.
Klimo observed the device. It was made like a phone, but much thinner and more beautiful.
"After everyone has gotten theirs, all of the devices will activate, officially registering you as a student of this school. It will serve a lot of purposes spanning from being your I.D and potential indicator, to much smaller things like opening a school account for coins."
Although he said the latter part as if it was negligible and insignificant, all the students knew that a person without coins(which was the present currency in the world at the moment) was a walking dead.
"They must be kept with you at all times, and once they are lost, your identity as a student of this school would promptly be forgotten." He said monotonely.
"As for dormitories, your room numbers will be displayed on it as soon as it is activated." Immediately he finished saying that, he turned away and took a step forward then paused.
"I expect to see everyone of you in class before 9am tomorrow." And after that, a bubble enclosed him and disappeared with him, leaving no traces that he had once been in the building.
"We are doomed." A student muttered helplessly.
* * *
After all the trainers were done instructing their students and the devices handed to them, they all left. At that moment, the devices all blinked and proceeded to display different numbers on each students' own.
*Ping*
Klimo's device blinked and displayed a number.
C-5
'This must be my room number. Now who's going to be my roommate?' He thought as he began searching for any other student who had been given the same room number as him, just like many other students did.
He wasn't planning on talking with them, he just wanted to know who it was.
And then he saw the same number on another student's device. And once he looked up to the face of the student, he slowly backed away, while thinking;
'What sort of joke is life laying on me? Why did it have to be the person whose position I took that had to be my roommate?!'
Somehow, he and Vlad were roommates, and Vlad had already seen Klimo having the same room number as him, and he didn't seem pleased.
Klimo tried searching for another student who had the same room number as him, but he couldn't find any.
After a few minutes, two men in green came into the building and led all the students out of the building and Arena, and to the dormitories.
They were huge buildings painted green. The dorm for the ladies were separated from the males by a really long wall, for many reasons which included privacy from perverted guys. It was three storeys high and each storey had a letter on them. A, B and C which stood for lower, middle and high respectively. However, this did not stand for their grades or power levels. It was for something else.
In front of the building was a canopy under which two women stood and by its side was an equipment which was a teleporter pad. It had a decent amount of space to recieve teleported stuff which were as big as a traveling trunk.
Teleporting equipments weren't just a recent technological breakthrough, however they were priceless. As of now, only nobles had one and those particular ones could only transport inanimate objects, meaning it would not work if a human wanted to transport himself or any thing that had life, excluding plants.
Those that could transport humans were made unavailable to the public. Only training schools like SH had those, coupled with some super companies and organizations. And of course, it was given on a condition.
Since these teleporters were not spread across the globe due to selfish interests, they didn't really serve as teleporters but portals. They were modified to open a dimensional door through which humans could now explore other planets, the galaxy and other dimensions. And the condition was that whatever was brought out of those portals would be cut and shared. 30% to the original creator company and the rest for themselves. This included beast cores which were a great power source.
So basically, only nobles were referred to in the next statement.
"If you wish to retrieve already stored items, line up and file towards the equipment." One of the women said, a bright smile on her face.
Klimo didn't bother to stay in the line as Crystal had informed him that her butler would be delivering all his stuff for him personally.
So he just went into the dorm. He took the elevator to the third floor and began walking down a large hallway filled with green doors on either side.
'C-2, C-3...Aha! C-5'
Klimo stood before a door which had C-5 above it.
'This should be it.' He thought and opened the door. He peeked in just as a student who was on the bed directly opposite the door raised his head up from his laptop.
He was a guy who had a well developed body, short white hair and was just an inch taller than Klimo. Once he saw who it was, he smiled brightly.
"Room five?" He asked.
Klimo nodded.
"Well, come on in."
Klimo walked in and was able to better observe the room. It was painted white, unlike the green of its exterior and it had just enough space for four students maximum. There were four beds at each corner of the cubic room and there was a closet that stood a few metres beside each of them.
They were all locked, except for the one beside the bed the white haired student was on. Lastly, there was a door on one of the walls which Klimo guessed to be the entrance to a shower cubicle.
The building was nice, but it was not comparable to the room he'd woken up in a few days ago.
"My name's Eric. What's yours?" Eric introduced himself.
"Klimo...' Klimo replied and then added "Javier."
Eric pointed at a bed. "You can pick any one you want, as they are basically the same. They don't have name tags on them."
"Thanks."
Klimo picked the one adjacent Eric's and sat on it. He didn't bother opening the closet, deciding to do so after Crystal's butler had brought his stuff.
'Things are going to be changing very soon. I can feel it.' He thought with conviction, just as a blond haired student waltzed in, a frown evident on his face once he saw Klimo's.
"You and me, we got a score to settle." He said, his voice taunting.
