Training schools were established after the first successful experiments that transformed a normal human into one with powers.
There were many reasons for this, one of which was to create a society of order wherein those who had powers didn't run rampage or used their powers adversely. But most importantly it was to prepare the next generation for any unprecedented unfolding of events.
These schools were replicated across the world, built with highly expensive materials and placed in various exclusive lands, far away from the reach of the public. This of course was to prevent a lot of mayhem that could happen if it were just by the corner of people's houses.
Training schools were ranked according to grades ranging from Grade One to Three.
Of course, Grade 1 was the highest, followed by Grade 2 and Grade 3 was the lowest.
In a country, there could be just one grade one Training school, a few grade twos and numerous grade threes.
The determinants for these grades spanned from the power levels of the Trainers to the quality of equipments owned by such and its infrastructure, as these were very important in the grooming of the young students, bringing out their potential and securing a bright future for them.
Only those that had powers could attend, but even then, there were limitations. First, you had to have enough money to purchase an entrance form. Of course, prices varied according to the grades of intended school, but they were by no means cheap. Second, if you were not a noble, you had to take your own transport to a set location from which you would then be taken to the school. And due to the location of these schools, it was like spending another form money just to get into it.
Also, if your powers were common place, it would be better to stay back at home than venture into the unknown. This, unfortunately is learnt regrettably too late by said people.
The Soaring Hawk training school was built by the government of Stoker, and it was a first grade training school. It was not only known locally but internationally as one of the best training schools in the world. This was because it had undisputable and incomparable stats with other schools.
Its buildings were breathtaking, it had high-end equipments and lastly but most importantly, high power level Trainers. Its banner was coloured a bright green and it had a golden crest of a soaring hawk on it.
This, was the very school Klimo found himself in.
He been taken to Crystal's personal building where she would be living.
They were welcomed by a tall, imposing man with a bright forehead and a charming smile. Apparently, he was her butler and he had earlier arrived here to prepare everything in anticipation of her arrival.
All her things were arranged, and just like that, they were settled after eating.
Klimo was given a room to sleep in but she'd told him that he wouldn't be staying here, in a sad tone. Her dad had already instructed her butler to make sure 'the boy doesn't stay in the same house as my daughter.'
He was only given a spare room because today was the arrival day. Tomorrow would be the beginning of school officially, and then he would have to move to his own dorm where guys like him would be living.
Klimo had completed his daily quest for the day, earning him five more exp. This was his new stats.
[Level 1]
[35/100 exp]
[Phoenix energy: 15/15]
[HP 10/10]
[Strength: 10]
[Agility: 10]
[Stamina: 10]
Available points: 0
Unfortunately, he'd gotten no way to level up quickly than this daily quest, but he hoped a miracle would happen pretty soon.

The next day, all the first year students were instructed to assemble in the general hall. They numbered up to a hundred.
They were made to register their names using a scanner after which they were then orientated.
All the students were then taken to an Arena (which was the smallest of the four Arenas in the Training school, they were told) for a test. This arena however was extremely large, making Klimo wonder just how large the others were.
The Arena however did not presently have the look of one. It was like the students were taken to a miny city. There were streets and houses, shops, offices and so on which could be found in a normal city.
Their trainers which were five in number stayed in a glass building by the farthest side of the Arena. In that building was a large screen which would display whatever was happening in the arena. The moderators for the test were also in that building.
In the Arena, there were floating screens which would also display whatever it was set to display.
Klimo found himself in the midst of different kids who were around his age. Some of them who had known themselves elsewhere had begun chatting while they waited for the test to begin.
Klimo sighted Crystal, but he avoided her by vanishing from her line of sight. He didn't want to be distracted by her or recieve help from her in passing the test.
The whistling sound of a microphone was heard and the announcements began.
"As you all know, all first year students will be required to take a general test. The aim of this test is to take out those with low potentials and also to remind each one of you that you are in SH, the best training school you can find anywhere.'
"This year, the test is something like an obstacle course, only the obstacles are not some sticks and nets but robots.'
The students began to mutter as they heard the voice of a man through invisible speakers.
'We'll have to run past robots?' One of the students beside Klimo said to the other guy beside him.
'I don't think that's a good idea. I hate robots. They could turn on you in a split sec.' The other replied with a shaky voice.
On the screen, three different robots were displayed. The first one was a medium size robot akin to the shape of a scorpion. The next was slightly larger than it and its shape resembled that of a rhinocerus beetle, and the last was a huge robot with the shape of a human.
"The first robot is a combat robot which will earn you five points once you've immobilized or destroyed it. The next is also a combat robot which will earn you thirty points if destroyed."
'Does this mean we are actually supposed to destroy these obstacles as we run?' Klimo thought.
'If that's the case, it means we would have to run to a set destination but actually getting there isn't what determines a win. It's how many points are gained from destroying the robots. But what about the third one?'
"The third robot is a guard robot and it can sporadically appear. Destroying it earns you zero points. Note that they are pretty hard to defeat so if you see one, run around it." The voice advised.
"Your potential will be graded according to how many points gained. The average amount of points is 50. The screen will update your points in realtime.
Another person spoke.
"Everyone please walk forward to the red line a few metres ahead." It was a female voice.
All students did as told and waited for the next instruction.
"The end of this course is at the other side of the city. You'll know when you see a red line similar to the one in front of you with no buildings behing it. Once you cross it, you are done.'
"The sound of a whistle will signify the beginning of your test. You'll be given 20 minutes to get to the finish line in time amd you will be eliminated if you don't have just or above the average points needed."
'Wait, does 'eliminated' mean going back home?' A student asked another.
"Yes. Elimination means you'll be sent back home and you should be aware that form money is unrefunded." The lady replied immediately. Apparently, there was a device in the arena that could pick the voices of those in the arena.
'Money? Nobody told me I had to pay.' Klimo thought. Perhaps everything had been arranged by Crystal's dad.
'But still, I can't lose. If I do, then I'll be missing out on a whole lot of fun.'
"Students, ready...set...'
*Whistle blows*
All the students charged forward, including Klimo.
