I don't know why, everything I've done with father has happened so fast, was it because I was happy ? Most likely... I can't remember anything else more than a kid that we bullied the entire time, I wish it had lasted longer but I'm back to the normal world where I belong, where I left, time did not stop for them and they saw me disappear and reappear right here.
The girls and me after this short break are still investigating Ellen's case, she is nowhere to be found, we all come to a different conclusion and as I am the most noble soul here I am indeed the one rising to the top speaking in a high pitch.
"I came to this conclusion, our dear friend has been assaulted and captured by someone of utmost importance. My cruel mother is the one." I claim like the princess I am.
"You really think too highly of yourself Plutaria. You are half godess but don't take it like you were a godess, it's embarrassing." Saphilys tells me while looking me in the eyes.
"Don't ruin it ! I'm like top 20 most powerful being in the world ! Unlike you worm, you can only be ranked 73."
"I'm 37 ! Not 73, you should know by now that witches are always at the top." she tells me as she is getting mad at me.
"So girlies, let's get back to where the fuck is Ellen okay ? I think she disappeared from there."
"No no no, your friend was definitely killed by that werewolf and you're just being two idiots." claims Saphy, I can't believe what she is telling us, dying in such a pathetic way isn't worthy of being my friend.
"I-I think she is alive and safe and and we shouldn't worry. Because she is Plutaria's friend so she can handle herself." the shy Haruka claims and I'd totally want to believe her words, I need it.
We all stay close to each other as we walk carefully in the direction of the Demon's territory, I know perfectly how dangerous it is to go there but if it means we can know where Ellen is, then all the travel will be worth, otherwise we will be in a deep shit.
As we advance further it's getting darker, which means we are getting closer to our objective, there is also that thing I need to do for mother.
"Why is it so dark in here ?" questions me Saphilys.
"Tremble in fear, cry like the rain, this is only the beginning of a perilious adventure !" I'm scary serious and even make scary noises to afraid them, it only affects my favorite witch that hides behind her sister's back.
"Don't scare Haruka ! We're so not gonna stay in here, we will just investigate the place and leave if there is nothing."
"I'm okay with that." answers the bear eared girl.
"Perfecto, parfait, excellent ! Now, let's enter the Devil's room and since I'm a perfectly wealthy princess I should be the one leading everything."
"I want to eat some food after that." comments Saphy playing with her blue hair.
"Swear an oath with me then. Are you willing to follow the dark path of incest ?"
She is hesitating before declining the offer, which means she doesn't want anyone to know what it means, strangely enough, only her understood what I meant with the joke.
"No... How high would you rank the Devil ?"
"Above me. He has less powers than me and yet more powerful, that's because I value quantity over quality in this specific scenario. But with friends, I will only value quality." I wink at her.
"Rank all my sisters except us two."
"I'll be nice with you worthless pieces of trash this time, your eldest sister is number 2. Beauty behind the mask is 3rd or 4th depending on her attitude."
"What about me !? Am I in the top 30 !?" asks the excited peasant of a fake friend to my divine blood.
"No, not at all. You're not even in the top 100, the only friends you have above are Ellen and this Naobitch."
"How high are they ?"
"They are both under my rank and both rank 22."
"Wait how is that even possible ? She is younger than Naomi..."
"It defies logic doesn't it ? Based on your reaction I can easily guess that your leader trained a lot. I hate her for one sole reason, she can become number 1 under the right circumstances. Being a light magic user really has it's advantages." I say that because I know what it means.
We arrive pretty quickly.
"We arrived, do you wish to keep talking about that ?" questions me Karen.
"Sshhh, lower your voice dumbfuck idiot trash. Not you my witch friends." I smile at them.
This place is too dark for them to see much more than a blue light coming from the torches, we walk down the stairs in front of us and the entry closes itself as we go further in this hellish place, the souls of the dead rises to scare us all. Skeletons moves on their own, they are on display and dance for our arrival inside here, we stay next to each other and all take the hand of one another in order to not split up.
"From now on. Our life will be at stakes, so no matter what happens, don't let the Devil devour your soul."
And with that, all of them are terrified at the idea of being soulless, well it's perfect, I'm not planning on ditching them so close to our goal, my goal.
We keep going and enter this labyrinth, the times passes as we search everywhere to know how to find the route but keep getting lost, that's on me for toying with them and after barely thirty minutes we get inside the Devil's personal room. A cold place with only a throne and full of dead boys, girls, men and women, as I am fully aware of my nobility I let go of the girls and I jump into the throne and enjoy the view.
"Phew, finally a good resting place."
"What are you doing up there idiot !? The Devil will kill you if you stay in here !" shouts the big sister.
"Sshhhh !! Go away worthless worms." I'm warning the plebe.
They hide behind the dead bodies, thankfully they are perfumed for some odd reason, I'm staying on the throne and the Devil appears right next to me while he is at the same time enjoying his time with that blonde heroine that I despise so much and he stares at me while making kids and she is in pain it seems if that's what the scream means.
"This throne is mine Dark Princess of the Lust Kingdom."
"I know you like doing that in broad daylight but keep that nuisance away from me."
"You... how dare you take my throne and tell me what to do ? If I desire to have babies with her, I will. Who are you to dare oppose me ?" He is... making love in front of me, It's hard even for a princess like me to ignore it.
"Half a godess buddy. Or do you want me to remind you how the Demon Lord is more attached to me than you will ever be Cringelord ?" Way to go, me !
"Stop it... let me go." cries the one being done badly as I keep myself calm and confident.
"I'm sorry, I'm too busy with more important business and I mean, you've already been infected with his corruptive powers." I claim nonchalantly.
"Why... are you doing this ?" she is resisting to the Devil's lust, as expected from a great heroine.
"I'm doing it for Ellen. Your friend Karen told me about your dark secrets of acting like a friend, but in reality you're just worse than a worm. You've used Sanaë for your own good, same for all of your friends."
"You're wrong ! I never did any of that ! I did everything I could to help her, to protect her ! He can confirm that." she screams in her misery.
"This girl is lying to you, she is mine and I raised her that way, isn't she good at pretending ?" he laughs insanely like the Devil would.
I'm not interested that much in her but it doesn't feel right, my heart wants to believe in that blonde even if it's insulting to me, my soul is against protecting her and what my brain tells me to do is to follow my heart, under these circumstances there is nothing I can do without putting anyone in danger.
"I'm sorry, I can't accept your request. Get fucked." I'm not feeling so well after that, that peasant heroine is not... she's not pretending.
"Protect Sanaë for me..." she says in tears as she disappears from our sight, I pretend not to see it and making her cry even more and now I'm getting serious.
"Mother asked for the dragon's wing, you swore to her you would give it to me her daughter."
"I did ? I quite don't remember useless oath like this one, what is the price you give me ?"
"Half my powers."
"Weaklings powers ? No thank you, give me a better offer little baby."
"The heroine Karen, I will sacrifice her to help perform your ritual that improves your powers."
"I want her body now, I shall taste it then consume it, I might even take her form." This makes no sense, my powers are more valuable than this fake heroine for fuck sake.
"Don't say your plans out loud, only me should be allowed since I'm the next godess to be born." I laugh joyful.
"Do you expect me to let you go alive after being so insolent in here ? Noone will care if you died right this instant."
"Your brother will. After all, the reason I'm still alive is because he needs me for his revenge against God."
"Huh wouhahahaha ! So you are still thinking he cares about your life. How cute."
He performs a surprise attack grabbing me by the neck and think that he can kill me without putting more effort than just pressuring it hard, my breathe may be steady but I'm not scared of such a simple torture trick.
"Not... impressed."
"No indeed. I will now consume your soul regardless of how it taste."
He is making me laugh, I can just smile at his stupidity, right before his eyes appeared the demon lord in all his glory, punching his back and stopping him from whatever he intended to do, the Devil is quite surprised that I am right.
"Why are you protecting this baby ? She will try to stop you, let me kill her for you."
"This baby is precisely needed. Brother, I understand your worries. Fear not as I have total control over her." he claims with overwhelming confidence
"When is your revenge even starting demon lord ? You know since I'm your hostage." I ask him since It's been ages ever since.
"Once brother gives the finishing blow to his wife, once she starts having feelings for him. It is written in stones, the fate of the fallen heroine is to be consumed by the darkness."
"Now can you give me a reward ? I think you should take care of that troublemaker."
The demon king breathes heavily, he stares at the dead bodies where all the girls are hiding and he is bored, destroying the corpses in one single blow, revealing all the girls in here, now I'm left with no choice. His brother didn't sense their presence before, but now this is a very different story, they were crouching and now they stand up. Haruka is terrified, Saphilys is staying neutral and Karen is making a suspicious smile while raising her hands.
"What is this ! Why are these girls here. Explain yourself !" The demon is awfully mad.
"We are looking for the Demon lord's apprentice, you know, Ellen." I politely answer to him.
"Ellen is not with you ? Where is Ellen ?" worries that wimp of a demon lord.
"Well to be honest, I was expecting your asshole brother to have kept her in here because my mother wouldn't hesitate to give her as a sacrifice." I'm serious.
"I can't let you go unharmed. One of you three will have to pay the price for trespassing in here." requests the Devil.
"I will." advances Saphy moving forward. Clearly she has guts and is doing it to protect Haruka.
Saphy is taking her wand out of her chest pocket and tries a spell I've never seen before, the demon lord admirative of her courage let her do it without restraint, she summons a giant tsunami that pushes away the demons and me, I remember now... I hate being underwater, it's salty and that reminds me of the torture I had to go through for mother's sake... no matter what I want I can't desobey her orders and her voice is reaching me now, ordering me to stay and not try anything... I'm rapidly out of breathe, as a demigod it's pathetic, the demons had teleported away and next thing I know, I'm waking up from that nightmare where I always end up killing all my friends, because I'm weak.
I am lying in a bed, the bed specially made for me by my witches friends, Haruka, Saphy and Beauty behind the mask are all here, relieved that I'm okay and this makes my heart melt, never would I have ever hoped something like this could happen to the likes of me, just at the left corner of the room lies the dragon's red wing my mother ordered me to give her.
"Where did you get the left wing ?"
"Before that, tell us what is your need for such a thing. Dragons wings are often cursed like this one, what do you intent to use it for ?"
"It's a birthday gift. It fascinates my mother."
"Well then, remember this... The curse within that wing is not something you should try your luck with. Until next time." leaves Beauty behind the mask.
No matter what happens, I have to bring it home. The cursed wing of the cursed dragon, a family relic that has been stolen in the past to bring disaster in the world, mother has the clear intent to use it for her own personal goals.
"I'm sorry Plutaria, I couldn't control the flow of water and ended up hurting you."
"It's just training for me, I'm not a rat like this Karen. Where has she left to ?" I'm asking her as I gaze directly into her sapphire eyes.
"She didn't say anything and left." prevents me Haruka.
"I see. Good riddance." That's probably the only thing I'm happy about to not see that one anymore, hopefully she dies.
I'm taking my leave and going home with the wing I hold just by using one of my teleportation power where all I need to do is to clap with my hands for a portal to appear. After going through it I appear right behind mother in her secret torture room, I proudly get on my knees and give her the wing knowing my feet are getting wet from the cold water. She turns to me and take the wing, giving me a smile of an old lady and that only cares about the gift.
"Happy birthday Mother ! I hope you like the gift I'm offering you as it id a proof of my gratitude for raising me." It's disheartening, I can't tell if I'm even grateful at all.
"Excellent. We can finally restore it. My child, we will destroy every other kingdom with the curse it brings. No one will even bat an eye for these creatures, just like how I tasked an assassin to murder that kitsune friend of yours."
"Wh... It's, why kill Ellen ? She is the only one I could train with."
"The fact that she died means she was never worthy, she was an ant. Because of her, you've neglected your training, you've neglected the kingdom I've build for you. And most importantly, you've neglected my orders." I'm scared... I'm trembling, I'm seeing all these corpses in my head.
"No... I did not."
"As my daughter, the only thing that matters to you is to make your mother happy. And to make me happy, you must always obey my orders. Because my daughter always will need my love." she kisses my cheek sending me a signal.
"Yes..."
Whenever she says something like this I black out, I always feel the need to be loved, that's why I'm lost, I'm under her control whenever she gives me an order, but once in a while, these black out happens, I don't know what happens during these...
