Chapter 59 - Attention

Zhong Yusi was hurrying over to his girlfriend's, soon-to-be fiancée, side, hoping that she wasn't speaking English or any other language he taught her, to the foreigner.

When Yusi heard the laugh, he really hoped the blond wasn't laughing at Mimi's language skills, because they were nonexistent.

Lei hurried over to Lili because of completely different reasons. She was attracting too much attention.

He hated when other men heard her lovely laugh. It made him so jealous. And it made him even more jealous when he saw the back of a tall guy next to her.

"Mimi," Lili heard someone say. It was a low voice coming from beside her, so she turned her head to look at the source.

And wow, Lili was dumbfounded to see someone who could rival Lei with his looks. The man was tall, slender, with a really handsome face. And Lili had to admire him even more because he hadn't looked at her body even once when he turned to stand by Mimi's side.

"Oh, Yusi. We were just talking about the game Lili is playing. Did you know that she met CEO Jin there?" Mimi smiled sweetly at him, explaining the situation. And Yusi's eyes widened in surprise.

"I never knew Jin was playing games…" he stated in Japanese, obviously talking to Mimi. But she looked lost. As if she didn't understand. Lili chuckled in her mind and put a smile on her face.

"Yes, he plays. Sometimes with me, but he is busy nowadays. I mostly play with the Zhulong team," Lili said in Japanese just as Lei arrived at her side.

"Chairman Zhong. Nice to meet you. Sorry I wasn't here to introduce you to my fiancée," Lei said and Lili felt three taps on her waist. She swore in her head, but it was already too late. She wasn't formal with them from the beginning. So she wouldn't start now.

"Nice to meet you too, CEO Jin. Well, this is my fiancée, Gong Mimi. I think our girlfriends get to know each other even without us," he said as he introduced Mimi. Then he turned her head to look at Lili.

"Your Japanese is not bad. I wouldn't believe you are not living in Japan," he said to her in Japanese. And Lei tapped her once. He didn't understand the conversation, so he left it up to Lili.

"Well, it should be. I spent years in college studying it." Lili chuckled and chairman Zhong smiled at her while nodding.

"I heard you are good at the game. What's its name?" he switched back to Cantonese, but his gaze still lingered on Lili's face. He was really trying her.

"Yes, I might say I'm good. It's called the Secret of legends. And I can proudly say I'm one of the best weaponsmiths on the Asian server." Lili was proud of herself now. Not because of the game, but because of the sentence and her pronunciation. She imitated Lei's accent in Cantonese. So she wasn't wondering that Zhong Yusi's brows rose almost to his hairline.

"Fantastic choice…" he breathed out to Lei, who nodded in agreement. Even he was amazed at how good Lili was. Heck, when he heard her Cantonese, he could swear she lived here more than a year and something. Not for a few months.

"Gaming team, huh… I know the game. I played it too. So let me guess the name of your guild. It is on the leaderboard, right?" Yusi joked around. He liked the relaxed atmosphere among them. Because he was too suffocated by the old men before.

"You are Dragon's den, right?" he was sure about it. Because it was full of Chinese players with one foreigner. With someone whose face was all over the game forum.

Yusi played the game sometimes, too. Usually when he wanted to try out some of his hardware. And not a while ago, he accidentally came upon the topic on the forum. He hadn't seen the picture of hers. Because when he got there, it was taken down.

"Good guess. Yes, that's where we get the members to our team." Lei nodded. He suddenly relaxed. Lei loved to talk about the team he was managing. He was proud of his brother's success and the conversation didn't feel like a business.

"So you are flying to Korea tomorrow?" Mimi asked excitedly. Lili turned her head to Lei because she wasn't sure how they talked it over.

"I'm sorry. I don't know who is coming with the team. Our two best players are in the hospital and someone has to be always there with them," Lili decided to tell the truth and it made Mimi's mood dampen a bit.

"We will go only tomorrow afternoon. Check everything out with Dylan and then we will come back home the next day. He will take care of the entire team. Jiaer will be in the hospital with Chao in the meantime," Lei explained his plan to Lili, not minding that someone else had heard it. She nodded and turned back to Mimi.

"So yeah, we will go for a while," she answered again and Mimi excitedly jumped forward, grabbing Lili's hand, her eyes sparkling.

"That's awesome. We can play around together." She was excitedly swinging with Lili's arm. Lei heard Yusi's sigh and walked closer to Lei's side.

"I guess they are friends now. Should we check each other out too?" he whispered. Lei chuckled, his hand over his mouth, holding back.

"Sure, let's have a drink and a talk," he said after he calmed down and walked with Yusi a bit further away, so they wouldn't interrupt their other halves.

They talked about almost everything except business. And it was a welcomed change for Lei. Maybe Yusi could be the one friend that wouldn't use him for money. Well, given that his position was higher, it would be the other side around.

Lei's phone rang and when he saw the caller, he excused himself and picked it up, standing right where he was. He just hoped it was good news.
