A/N: Wrote this chapter in a day because I've wanted them to match hair colours for like a week now π
Irene Pendragon POV:
"Ice Empress."
My hair began to go from blonde to a pale white, not too dissimilar to Valier's own hair. My eyes changed from their original emerald green and slowly became a pale blue.
(E/N: Welp, that was the entirety of a one week accumulation.)
A/N: Well I'm sorry for only wanting them to match hair colours.
My internal temperature had drastically lowered, it was fairly close to reaching absolute zero. I could probably go to absolute zero, however, being at this temperature was hard to maintain, and it put huge amounts of strain on my internal organs. Once I learned to use Partial Dragonification on things besides my skin, I'd be able to go to absolute zero and sustain it, maybe.
I took a deep breath, and when I breathed out, small particles of frost were formed. I placed Valier on the floor, the parts of his body which I had touched had been frozen.
"Rest, regain your stamina, I'll hold him off for now."
I looked at him, he had his hair tied in a pony tail, dark circles surrounded his rather pretty looking crimson eyes. His entire body structure had changed, he had way more scars than before and had an extremely muscular physique. It seemed he also had made some new moves up, after all, that heat vision came out of nowhere.
'It looked pretty cool though.'
I grabbed onto my sword, and when I drew it, it began to be enveloped by a pale blue aura. I swung my sword, and a large tsunami of frost rushed at the blonde man.
He extended his arm and released a wave of those weird black flames. They clearly weren't the Dark Flames that Valier produced, in fact they didn't even act like flames. They gave off heat, yet that certainly wasn't how they 'burnt.' It was more like they burnt away Mana itself, I shuddered at the thought of what Iris must have felt. She probably felt all the Mana in her body slowly burn away as the flames reached her core.
"Wow, you look at lot like that shitty brother of yours now!"
The man exclaimed as he formed a spear of black fire in the air before launching it at me. I dodged it, if it were a flame spear from a low or mid tier mage, I could've grabbed it out of the air and extinguished it.
"Well, you see, I created this form as a reminder to myself of Valier's death. It was to honour him and to avenge my siblings."
But if I were to touch those black flames, I'd probably take some heavy damage. I wouldn't die though. That was because of my Partial Dragonification, my current level of Partial Dragonification allowed for me to turn a selected area of my skin into the scales of a Dragon.
They were only scales on par with a weaker Dragon, but the scales of a Dragon nonetheless. Unfortunately I could only form them on one part of my body. Or rather, my ability didn't give me scales, but gave me skin with the same properties as a Dragon's scales. They were watered down, but at the very least, I was extremely durable.
The only problem is that using Ice Empress in conjuction with Partial Dragonification was tiring, especially considering how I had to constantly change the location of where I was Dragonified.
The blonde man rushed in, I raised my sword and formed over twenty different Frost swords. I swung my sword and they all flew towards the man at breakneck speeds. Some missed, however that was intentional. When they made contact with the ground, they'd produce an explosion of pure and all encompassing frost.
However, the man was unharmed, my attacks simply weren't strong enough to pass through his defences. I looked at him, and then to Valier. If we wanted to win this, we'd have to work together, with Valier doing the damage and me warding off his attacks.
The man dashed towards me, but Valier dashed towards him at the same time and body slammed him. Valier's eyes began to glow with that pitch black light again, he was going to use his heat vision.
He released his attack, and it burnt the ground beneath him. On the other side of the beam, I saw the blonde man attempt to block it by making an X shape with his arm and heavily reinforcing it with Mana. He slowly began to trudge forward, pushing back against Valier's heat vision.
I dashed and got behind the man, he then used one arm to defend against Valier. He extended the other arm and aimed at me before attempting to scorch me with his flames. This all happened too fast, and I couldn't react.
'I'll survive this, so even if I get wounded, I'll at least land a solid blow.'
I rushed in head first into the pitch black fire, I brought my internal temperature even lower. My now white hair danced in the air. Valier tensed his calves and leapt forward while still blasting the man with his pitch black heat vision.
The man stopped his flame thrower like attack and he aimed a punch at Valier's stomach. This left me an opening to slice his neck. But I didn't take that chance, fear took hold of me, and for a moment, I couldn't move.
And that was because Valier's stomach had been pierced by the blonde man. His arm was halfway through Valier's body, Valier bled from his mouth and coughed blood onto the man's face.
