A/N: Since I'm not gonna be in the city since I have DofE tmrw and Monday, you guys get two chapters in one day. And yes, this fight was short but hey, they're both exhausted, Valier was half dead and under a time limit.
Valier POV:
The Black Flames flowing through my sword distorted the space around us. Now, I didn't have any real hidden abilities, sure I had a new heart, but I hadn't gotten any cool abilities yet. Though it'd be cool if I had gotten some sort of cool ability like Partial Dragonification, or maybe Spirit Speech.
Well, even if I say that, it's not as if something as overpowered as Spirit Speech exists. Though, with Dragons being a thing, I'm sure that the author did consider it at some point. But I suppose this isn't very relevant.
I focused both my mind and my body on heating up my sword.
As my sword began to heat up, I took a second to maximize Demon's Breath's power, however, the time I had left was shortened to barely over a minute, 66.6 seconds to be exact.
"Your sword... It's sort of like that technique the other child used. But it's different, it's much more controlled, refined and concentrated in terms of heat."
'Burn through him.'
I dashed forward, ignoring everything else that was happening in the world. The gusts of wind, the collapsing of buildings, the cries of children. My entire being was focused on burning through him with my sword.
When I reached him, I used my wrist to flick the blade of my sword upwards, and I swung my sword in said direction, my attack didn't reach him as he was using what I believed to be Demonic Eyes. I activated my own Demonic Eyes. I saw that his right arm was about to extend and hit my stomach, so I changed the trajectory of my sword and sliced the space between his arm and my stomach. This made him stop his attack, and gave me the chance to slice him.
However, I felt his leg connect with my rig cage, shattering several bones, however I wasn't sent flying. I coughed up blood and bits of fragmented bone, but by using dark magic to create tendrils of darkness at my feet, I was able to stick them into the ground and not be sent flying.
He was stunned momentarily due to the placement of his body. I took the opportunity to slice at his shoulder. I used Demon's Breath to alter the flow of my blood among other things, he seemed to have the Demonic Eyes as well. So, by altering so many things, it'd confuse him completely.
When I swung my sword it got stuck in his Mana enhanced bone. I gritted my teeth and roared with all my might, attempting to tear through him. As I was pushing through with the sole intention of burning right through him, I felt my Demonic Seed sprout more roots, increasing in size and realizing my will.
For an instant, a moment shorter than a second, Cursed Energy and Mana flowed in tandem and a Cursed Flame was produced. It was small, however it was large enough to wrap around my sword and burn through the man. My sword slash stopped just before I reached his hip. Abyssal flames sprouted from the man's body, burning away at him, he tried healing himself but it barely did anything. My rampant, uncontrolled flames were focused on the same thing I was.
'Burn Through Him.'
My flames were limited to the area of flesh my sword had made contact with, but they certainly did burn him.
He took out a scroll, he probably found it in a dungeon or something a while back. It was probably a teleportation scroll. Those were practically on the level of high ranking artifacts in terms of rarity. They were so impossibly difficult to find. This was probably how he entered and exited the estate without anyone noticing.
As I collapsed onto the floor, with my sword still embedded in him, he made eye contact with me.
"Next time, you'll die."
"Then let me give you a farewell gift."
I focused my Cursed Energy into the sword stuck in his torso, I made my sword collapse into a small sphere before making around seven different spikes emerge from his body, piercing him from the inside out.
As if to testify for his strength; his mind, body and Mana enhancements didn't cave in. This allowed him to survive an assault from an enraged Dragon Blood and a Demon Blood who were going for the kill.
After he teleported away, I began to vomit out blood and shattered bones. My body couldn't cope with this, it just wasn't durable enough. Many of my bones had been crushed due to the strenuous backlash of Demon's Breath. I felt a presence close in, I began trying to stand up, but I soon recognised it as the Sword Saint's, and decided that letting myself pass out should be fine.
Claire Bladeheart POV:
I made my way to the castle, I had taken down each and every one of their generals while the rest of the soldiers had handled all the foot soldiers, and the mages who simply weren't as powerful as the generals. The Brittanians had been eradicated, the only soldiers left would be the ones in the castle and the ruler of this country.
When I got to the castle, I saw Irene on the floor, passed out. A fair chunk of her back was missing while the rest of it was burned, had exposed flesh, or both.
Past her, was a boy with long white hair, he began to vomit out blood, bones, and even muscle tissue before trying to stand. However he collapsed and crashed onto the ground before passing out.
I told a few soldiers to go into the castle to exterminate the Brittanians and to bring out the monarch of this country. I would personally take care of the two children.
I tensed my calf and exploded towards the white haired boy, he had several injuries that would end up crippling him if they weren't treated. As such, I would need to perform emergency treatment on him immediately. I called over six healing mages, three of them were to tend to Irene's wounds while the rest would handle the boy. The boy had somehow managed to limit the damage done to his body.
"I'm going to need answers from them, since the boy was the second to pass out, I'm sure he'll have a better answer."
