Chapter 51 - Chapter 51 - Storming Britannia [6]

The two groups of soldiers stared at me, although I wasn't fully aware of the emotions of the ones behind me. I could tell the soldiers infront of me were quite scared. I gripped my sword tightly, I was somewhat irritated when I looked at the people infront of me.

"Fight back, if you let yourselves be slaughtered without even trying to fight back, then your fallen comrades will berate you to no end when you meet in hell."

"Hell? We Brittanians don't believe in such an ugly concept. For us, the only thing we have faith in is our sovereign, our ruler."

"It's fine if you don't believe in hell, after all, it just means I'll have to create one for you."

A fireball was launched at me by the men infront of me, I raised my sword and sliced it half. The material my sword was made from didn't have trouble cutting through anything, the material seemed to be able to be adapted to any situation. And like I've said before, I can copy the abilities of other weapons.

'But I've not met anyone who's weapon had an actual ability just yet, so I'm a bit sad. But I suppose it's to be expected, considering that, aside from the blonde guy and the Sword Saint, I've not met anyone powerful.'

As I was thinking to myself, I then felt a flurry of attacks rushing towards me. Several hundred small yet sharp metal spikes were sent at me.

'Metal Magic, a Derivative Magic of the Earth attribute. This should be a good place to try out one of my more complicated techniques.'

'Ragnarok Style, First Form'

"Ataraxia"

My body naturally relaxed itself, my sword was at my side. For a moment, nothing reached me. Not even the slightest of breezes or even the smallest of molecules could bypass Ataraxia. So, the metal spikes which rushed towards me couldn't even get close to me.

Ataraxia was a powerful defensive technique, on earth, very few had been able to get past it. Now then, the Ragnarok Style. It was a style that I created, it was a style that requires both a top notch physique and ungodly fighting prowess to use. My current body wouldn't be able to actually use it without the aid of Mana and Demon's Breath.

In fact, using Ataraxia just now ate away a fair amount of my stamina. It wasn't a huge amount, but it was definitely more than the amount back when I used it in my old world. And even then, I was fairly sure it wasn't as powerful as it was back then.

Infront of me was a line of iron dust, that line was the very farthest range of Ataraxia. The range was around a meter or so; I could deflect, parry, and react to any attack within a meter of me.

"I'm done playing with you guys, go to hell."

I extended my arm and began charging up a blast of uncontrolled flames. A small typhoon of flames began to form in the palm of my hands, I then released the attack. The attack incinerated everything infront of me, burning everything to ashes. By the end of my attack, not even a fragment of bone remained.

I turned around and looked at the group of soldiers behind me, they were likely from Tenebris. They didn't have a single speck of fear on their faces, in fact, they had looks of complete awe plastered on their faces.

I counted the number of soldiers, they only had four people.

'You're telling me these four were fighting evenly with a group of twenty? Well I suppose that's the difference in military strength between Tenebris and Britannia.'

The soldiers had large wounds and gashes across their bodies, had I not killed the Brittanians they likely would have died.

"Thank you, we don't know who you are, but we sincerely appreciate this."

Demon's Breath was a technique catered specifically to this body. With it, not only could I increase my physical prowess to match those of literal monsters, but I could gain almost total control of my body and it's muscles. I could reverse the flow of my blood if I really wanted to, even though there'd be no reason to do that.

Meaning that something as simple as altering my voice was simple. I altered my voice by vibrating my vocal chords, the end result was a deep yet distorted voice that seemed to spark fear into hearts of the soldier's infront of me.

"Don't get in my way and we'll be even."

And with that I dissapeared and travelled towards the Britannian Castle using Flash Step to speed things up. The closer I got to the castle, the more bodies I'd see, men, women, and children had all been indiscriminately slaughtered.

'This feeling... my heart is pounding, it feels like it's going to pop out of my chest. Is it because of the Fenrir's egg?'

After another few minutes of travelling, I was able to arrive at the front gates of the castle.

"I can't believe I'll finally get it, the Artifact I've been longing for ever since I arrived in this world. An Artifact that will finally let me have some reliable 'allies'."
