Merlin
They say a drunk man tells no tale, but he can surely fight right, fly like a butterfly sting like a bee. I walked out my house to find three black cars parked in a very stupid way in my front yard, it was so early in the morning but I could make out a clear kidnapping attempt, the lady by the looks of it was being dragged into one of the bigger cars, the SUV's, it seemed had fallen unconscious. I held a gun in my left hand, against gang boys to make things worse, I was right handed. I had a skull splitting headache blurring my vision but I could see pretty well what was going on so I raised my gun.
"Hey y'all are making noise, some of us wanna sleep" I yelled then shot into the navy sky. That shook them a bit as y hand seemed unstable after the shot, I could shoot at anyone given I'd pointed the gun at them, but they didn't even bother driving away, rather some guy with a huge beard walked out of one of the cars, he looked quite scary from my point of view but I had played with the likes of Drag and Rin, he was nothing compared to them, I thought.
"Are you threatening us little bitchie?" He said calmly, calling me little bitchie, under normal circumstances wouldn't be acceptable but I was the smaller one here, I had to be humble or else I wouldn't see the sun rise.
"Rishawn!" He said calling on one of his boys, a guy with corn rows walked closer, and handed him a revolver,
"Whoa, relax!" I said stepping back, . "Look I don't wanna hurt you" I said pointing my gun at him, but he didn't hesitate, he pulled the trigger to my thigh, as I fell, I saw him revolving it, pointing at my head this time, my pistol was now I'm the hands of his boy Rishawn, "There's one bullet left in here, I had two, one for you ex and another for your daughter, I don't know how convenient this is, I found you instead, their maker… He pulled the trigger on my head and laughed looking at the horror in my eyes. I raised my gun to his head.
"Go on, shoot me" he suggested, his smirk made me wonder how he'd come to find out that I only had one bullet which I'd already used shooting into the sky. Unfortunately that shot was supposed to scare them into driving away, but alas, here I was facing death in the eyes after hearing another shocking discovery… apparently Natasha's daughter was mine, she hadn't made that clear.
"Before you die, I'm Mike, your bitch's new handler and probably the guy who's going to get away with her murder, nice to meet you Italian" he coldly said, winter coursed through my veins as I waited for this final pull of the trigger… however the moment he finished talking his head exploded by what seemed like a bullet that came out of nowhere, so did Rishawn's. Naturally I went lower into the ground, "shit" I heard one of the goons yell as they threw the abducted lady off their SUV and drove off.
"The black rose!" I exclaimed,
"Natasha" I cried as reality slowly crept back into my head, the SUV's drove off in a flying manner leaving us lying there with the corpses, the shooter never showed themselves but rather police and ambulance drove by. From the confusion and the awe stricken facials, I could tell they weren't the ones responsible for firing the shots. I stretched my hand towards Natasha but I couldn't, I was hurt but it wasn't too bad, I just needed help getting back up. Taking my attention to the police and the paramedics who's started checking out on Natasha, I couldn't believe whom my eyes met walking out of one of the police cars. Rajesh, it was really him, even taller than we'd left him, I smiled but he wouldn't see it as they were rushing to Natasha's aid in worry, she was starting to regain consciousness; he helped her up while the paramedics tended to me, then pushed me into their ambulance, Rajesh and Natasha also jumped in at my request as Rajesh was a surgeon as well. She was sweating profusely and she was breathing heavily. Rajesh held her so tight to try and calm her down, she was practically weeping, her tears even dried yet she continued sobbing.
"It's my fault" was the first thing she said. I looked away recalling what that Mike guy had said—my daughter. It'd been three years since I'd been in the US and she never thought it was necessary to let me know. The more I thought about it the more agitated I was. I could even ask the paramedics to stop the ambulance so she could exit; after all, I wanted some peace in my mind, peace of mind.
"It's not your fault" responded Rajesh, then he sarcastically turned to me, "it's not right Merlin?" he asked. "If she says it's her fault then who are you to say otherwise?" I responded, that alarmed Rajesh as he suddenly seemed confused for a couple of seconds before turning back to Natasha again.
"Listen to me" he said trying to inspire grip on Natasha then placed his hands on her cheeks. "Look into my eyes Natasha", whatever this is, there's nothing I don't know about you two, it's going to be over soon, it doesn't have to be your fault" Yet he was wrong and deep down he knew it was not going to be possible convincing her that it wasn't her fault, especially after that stunt I'd just pulled. But I couldn't help but wonder why the black rose was in tears, or maybe she'd reverted into the Natasha I knew—and loved, but it'd been Rin who'd stopped me from leaving, she'd seen that Natasha and I were a lost cause.
