What happened to you, Laura?" Her dad asked, hovering around her.
Annalise took a step closer, chiding herself for her first reaction being jealousy. Her sister was obviously unwell, and from how she was bawling her eyes out, Annalise knew it was something quite serious because Laura never cried.
"Laura..."
"You!" She screeched. "Why are you here? Why are you everywhere? Why do I have to keep seeing your face? Everything is happening to me because of you!"
Annalise was taken aback, she felt as though she'd been slapped. The pain was almost vivid on her cheeks.
Her mother turned to her with questions in her eyes. "What have you done this time, Anna?"
She was dumbfounded. What has she done? She had no idea and her confusion was etched on her face and the creases on her forehead.
