Annalise wasn't looking at Don Roberto nor was she taking note of any of the noise going on around her. Her eyes remained solely on Leonardo, the way his fist had clenched when Don Roberto said,
".... Undoubtedly my favorite child."
It was only after he turned to his father that her gaze turned and everything in her surroundings came back and she heard loudly the words Don Roberto had said before the last few that pissed Leonardo off.
How vain humans were.
Mrs. Moreno stood in front of Don Roberto, her face of shock and her voice filled with hysteria.
"What have you done?" She asked loudly. "What have you done to him, you monster?"
"Angelique," Don Roberto called in a gentle, warning tone. "Be mindful."
"Did you kill him?" She asked, tears running down her face. "Answer me."
Don Roberto killing Nocolás? Why would Mrs. Moreno ever think that plausible? It wasn't, right?
