Seeing she's unable to ignore him because she knows the nature of Jason to be persistent, he wouldn't back down and would always want an answer to all questions he ever asked, she sighed and said, "I'm still wondering who she is, she seems and behave familiar, like an high school friend, Cassie Mayor...", Jason cuts in, "That's her mum, Miss Cassie Mayor, she's now a lecturer at Downtown University and a caterer", he informed her. She was shocked as she almost smacked him with the hand fan in her hand, "So you had a background check done on them?", he swiftly moved back to avoid the hit from his mum, " It is what it is mum, it is something I had to do", "And now you're asking me about her?", she asked surprisingly. and he moved close to her and place his arm on her shoulder. " I just wanted to ask about her and know your own side of the story", he said, he continued when his mum didn't say anything, "You know the night I spent at Exclusive bar and hotel before you sent me to London?", he asked but his mum seems lost. "That night I stayed away from home after the talk we had about me having a woman", he paused as his mum recollected, " Oh yes I do, don't tell me you got that lady pregnant?", his mum asked and he smiled, "She might have", he shrugged his shoulders and his mum successfully smacked his stomach with the hand fan, " Ouch mum", he bent, pretending to be wincing in pain, "You better tell the whole of the story because I can't get you tied to a lady you don't love. Why would you even have one night stands?", Rose asked angrily. " Its really my first time mum, I really don't do things like that, I'm a well devoted man, man of honour", Jason said with a huge smile. "Can you get to tell the story young man", Rose asked with exasperation. " I will tell you only when you tell me about Cassie Mayor", he bargained, plucking an invisible dirt from his shirt and dusting it as well. 'He would not back down easily', Rose thought to herself and asked. him, "What exactly do you want to know?", she asked. " Everything", he said as he sits in front of her.
Rose cleared her throat and began, "Cassie was one of the most beautiful girl in our school, we were in high school together. We became friends, I mean best of friends though till Stephen came into our lives. He came for Cassie and she rejected him almost immediately, he made friends with me and I advised him to take it slow with Cassie, she wouldn't reply him immediately because they literally just met one another and he accepted. Stephen was a cool guy and was loved by everyone. I started seeing him as a cool guy and I was forced to talk Cassie into accepting Stephen as her boyfriend because he was so serious about her. Luckily I met with Raymond and we got married, I surprised my parents were not against it. After about six months, Cassie accepted and things were going on really well till our final year in high school that Cassie got pregnant for Stephen, luckily for her, we just have to do our prom and graduate from school. Almost immediately after our graduation, Stephen disappeared and Cassie's parents died. It would obviously be hard for her and she disappeared also like she never existed, I went everywhere looking for her as I felt guilty and somewhat responsible for her predicament but I couldn't find her. After few months, my elder sister, Melissa, introduced her boyfriend to me which was no one else but Stephen Miller again, I was mad and couldn't let him destroy my sister's life like he did to Cassie. And when I asked him for the whereabout of Cassie, he claimed she shut him out of his life. I didn't believe because I know who Cassie really is, she really won't do that to him. I was against his relationship with my sister, Stephen died after a year and I found out my sister was pregnant already. Her pregnancy came with a lot of life threatening issues that the doctor and I advised her to go for an abortion which she refused. There she met with Dan, your uncle and he decided to shoulder her responsibilities. Melissa had Ryan successfully but she couldn't birth any child anymore. Both Dan and Melissa died when Ryan was two. I had to take Ryan in. Raymond was supportive but had health issues and also died after a year", she paused to clean a tear that dropped from her eyes, "That's the story", she sniffed. " Its alright mum, Ryan is good now", Jason concluded with a smile. "Yeah, yeah, he is. So up to you young man, your story", Rose said.
" Ohhh, I'm having goose bumps all over my body with those chilly looks mum", they both laughed about it, "Actually that night I was at the bar, Isabelle came in and she thought I was down and depressed", he smiled and continued, " I tried my best to ignore her because she ignored me early that day in the company but she was too persistent, she decided to tell me her. story and she got drunk, I offered to take her home but she refused...", "Was she the one you spent the night with?", Rose asked eagerly, Jason smiled, " I took her to the hotel section of the bar and we seduced each other. I was her first though but it seems she doesn't remember anything from that night", he looked at the ceiling and his mum stood up to his face, "Tell me the truth young man, did you really not force yourself on her?", He gently sat his mum down and spoke one by one, " I didn't, it was a mutual something", he said. "She's Ryan's step sister", Rose completed. " And that doesn't stop me from having her mum", Jason said and made move to leave the room, "It does, young man", Rose snapped. " Oh well, it doesn't mum because she might be pregnant already", he said and left the room.
