After an hour, the doctor operating on Isabelle came out and walked Jason to his office, they sat down. "I'm sorry for this sad news, your expecting wife lost her pregnancy due to the gunshot. The bullet affected her womb slightly that caused the foetus to lose its life. I'd advice you wait for a period of two years before you can decide to start a family, by then, her womb would have healed very much better", the doctor said without taking a breath, he's heard stories of Jason being cruel and deadly, no one would want to get in the way of someone like that, he went straight to the point without batting an eyelid. Just as shocked as anyone can be, Jason was shocked to the last that he couldn't talk for a while, tears almost dropped from his eyes but he couldn't let anyone see that side of him, it would be an advantage to his enemies. Rose came in with fear on her face, she sat beside Jason as she asked of the situation of Isabelle and she was informed, she went pale immediately she heard the news, she didn't waste time as she started crying, Jason looked at his mum and left the doctor's office, upon leaving the doctor's office, he heard people screaming, he walked towards the noise since it was the same way to Isabelle's room, suddenly he was at alert as he ran towards Isabelle's room and saw a scene, he saw men in black fighting one another, he could identify his men fighting against some other men in black which are not his men. He pushed his way past them and entered Isabelle's ward, he met her still unconscious, he was relieved instantly. He received a text message from the head of his bodyguard 'The source of the sniper has been found, Anchor at it again', he read the text in his mind. He pocketed his phone and makes move to leave the room when his phone rang, it was the doctor in charge of Ryan's health, his thought became messy, 'Hope nothing is wrong', he thought to himself and picked the call, "Hello", he said into the phone. "Hello Jason, how are you?", the doctor replied and Jason could hear excitement from him, he became relieved again. "I'm good", Jason said. Knowing Jason as a man of few words, the doctor went straight to the point and said, "I want to inform you that Ryan is up now", and Jason walked to Ryan's ward since he was in the same hospital. The doctor was shocked to see him and asked him while he dropped his phone, "How long have you been around?",Jason nodded, not intending to answer the question. They entered Ryan's ward together and saw him sitting up, a wide smile spread on Ryan's face when he saw his favorite person. Jason walked swiftly towards Ryan and hugged him tightly, few drop of tears dropped from his eyes, he released Ryan when he heard him groan in pains, he wiped his tears with his thumb and sniffed. "I guess I better be involved in accidents so I can be missed so dearly", Ryan teased Jason who replied, "Then make sure you don't wake up the next time 'cause I'm gonna spank you so hard". "Eeww! Gross! Do you think I'm one of your bitches who you'd like to spank?", Ryan asked rhetorically. "Either ways, let me remind you that you're my kid brother", Jason said and that got them laughing. He signalled to everyone to give them privacy, immediately the last person got out, Jason's facial expression turned serious as he looked into Ryan's eyes which made Ryan flinch, Jason asked, "What are you not telling me?". Ryan acting all dumb replied, "What do you mean?". "Tell me all I need to know or I'd force it out of your throat", Jason threatened. "Okay okay, I'll tell you", Ryan gave up because he knows how brutal Jason can be when he doesn't get what he wants.
Rose went back to Isabelle's ward, but at that time, everywhere was at peace, she sat beside her and held her cold fingers in her own warm hands, "I wish you never met my son, you could have been living your life in peace", Rose sobbed, then she felt Isabelle's hand move in hers, she quickly wiped her tears while Isabelle tried to sit up but Rose stopped her, "Its okay, my dear". Isabelle looked around her tried to know where she was as the surrounding doesn't look like the office or any part of the company, then the smell of drugs hit her suddenly that she choked, she coughed hard while Rose pat and rub her forehead, "Why am I here?", she asked as she tried to raise her hand but she saw that an IV was connected to her hand, "What happened ma'am?", she asked politely while bowing a bit when she saw that it was her boss's mother that was beside her. Rose couldn't bring herself to tell her the condition she was in, instead she sobbed, "I'm sorry for everything", she bent her head and cried. Isabelle was lost with no emotion visible on her face as looked at Rose crying, her instinct told her to pat her back, she finally sat up properly and rubbed Rose's back in small circles, she could remember how her mum does it for her. Rose raised her head and looked into Isabelle's eyes, "I should be doing that, not you", she stood up and hugged her, sure enough not to squeeze her. She released her cleared her throat, bracing herself to reveal everything to Isabelle, she started, "First of all, I apologise for all the inconveniences caused by my son..."
After getting the information he wanted from Ryan, he headed to Isabelle's ward to check on Isabelle before leaving, his heart was aching that he lost his first child ever, the child that came from the first woman he would ever care for, aside his mother. Something in him wanted peace not to reign, he wanted violence! Don't was all his head could think of, he stopped in front of Isabelle's ward when he heard faint voice of his mum apologising to Isabelle, "...caused by my son...", he barged in and cut his mum's speech, he was not ready to reveal to Isabelle that he was the guy and father of the unborn child. He looked as his mum while they exchanged meaningful looks, 'What are you trying to do mum?', he asked with his looks. 'Of course, I'm tryna tell her everything from the top to the end', Rose said with her look. 'Oh no mum, not now', Jason gave the look. 'Young man, if not now, then when would it be?' Rose gave him a stern look. 'I will tell her one day, at least not now... please ma', he pleaded with his mum who looked away from him. "Sorry, what's going on here?", Isabelle asked as she was lost. 'At least not now, my love', Jason concluded.
