Days went by quickly and it turned into weeks, during the day when Jason went to the office to handle and sort out things, Ryan also recovered quickly and joined him in the company. Things were cool as they stopped getting attack from their 'Enemy', Jason also doubled the security around Isabelle. On one fateful day, Isabelle was getting checked by the doctor who treated her and she was tempted to ask the doctor the reason she was still in the hospital, despite the serious warning she got from Jason not to question the doctors at work. But her curiosity got the better of her and she went ahead to question the doctor, "Excuse me, can I ask a question?", she asked and the doctor nodded, she continued, "Why haven't you discharged me yet? The surface of the bullet wound has healed already", she completed her question and secretly prayed that Jason didn't tell the doctors anything. The doctor rubbed his face and sighed, "I guess your husband didn't tell you yet", which made Isabelle raised her brows and she nods to signify 'No', "The bullet affected your unborn child and I'm still checking on you to make sure the wound on your womb has healed completely", he continued while adjusting the IV connected to her left hand, "You will have to wait for a period of two years before you can attempt to make babies again. Don't worry, you will heal up in a few days time. Okay?", the doctor said and left without receiving a reply from Isabelle as he got an emergency text to perform CS on a pregnant lady.
Isabelle was shocked and dumbfounded for a long time as tears dropped from her eyes, she was pained that Jason kept something as serious as this away from her and as well, she felt she couldn't blame as he didn't want to interfere in her personal life. She remembered that night she lost her dignity as a lady but the face of man was what was blur in her memory, 'Did he use some sort of spell on me to make me forget his face?', her ringing phone brought her to the present, she saw it was her mum calling her, she cleared her throat and picked it, "Heyyy mum!", she said to sound as cheerful as she can be. "How's work over there?", her mum was happy to hear her daughter's voice after many days she told her she was accompanying her boss to one of their offices in London, she continued, "Hope you're eating properly", then Jason came in with Ryan and she signalled to them to keep quiet, "Trust me, my boss is exceptionally rich, so trust me to eat whatever I want every single day. I'd be really chubby when I return", she said which made Ryan irritated and made Jason smiled mentally. She spoke to her mum few more times before hanging up. "Welcome sirs", she said and bowed a little which irked Ryan and Jason nodded with a wide smile. There was a small plaster on Jason's nose, she smiled when she saw him rubbing it, Jason turned to her and scoffed, "Looks like you're having fun", he said and she turned her face away from him, only to the disgusting look Ryan was feeding her. She bowed a bit and looked away from him and faced Jason who smirked at her. She wanted to ask his relationship with Ryan but she knew they had a special relationship, as though he read her thoughts, Jason said, "He is my brother... My little brother", and he nodded his head a bit with his eyes half closed and a huge smile while Ryan scoffed and left the room for them, he made a mental note to confront Jason, he seemed to smitten by his personal assistant which could bring his image down. 'Wait, he doesn't even have an image of himself in the public', he said to himself as he recalled that Jason stayed out of the public's eye. Ryan was the one known as the heir of the Sydney though he always makes it known to the public that he isn't the heir and he has an elder brother. He fought with Jason several times about revealing him to the public but Jason always ends the conversation with the statement, "I'll reveal myself at the right time, it will only take a little time and I'll come out myself", he always said that a final tone no one, including his mum could argue with. Ryan was surprised at his behaviour, he felt something was wrong with him because he was never like this. "What excuse did you give your mum?", Jason asked immediately Ryan left them. "Why didn't you tell me I lost my pregnancy?", She counterattack him with her question and Jason couldn't say a word, she continued, "I know you don't want to meddle in my affairs but you should have told me... I never knew I was even pregnant", when gasped as she remembered something, she said in realisation, "Oh my! I guess thats the reason I eat like an elephant these days", she clamped her mouth with her palm. Jason became mentally furious as he realized that not even her, none of them could feel the presence of their unborn child, they didn't even get to talk to her while she lived. He would definitely get back to them, painfully!. She gave Jason a fake smile and yawned, "I want to take a nap", she turned away from him. Jason smiled bitterly as he noticed that her mood changed and scoffed because he knew her to be one hell of an heavy sleeper. Several times he watched he sleep like a log of wood, he walked to his personal space where he attended to office work if he decides not to leave Isabelle, immediately he sat, his phone beeped signifying an incoming message, he checked it and called the number, "You need to save yourself the stress of coming for my woman, come for me directly", he said into the phone and the person at the other side of the phone laughed hard that irritated Jason, there he swore to kill whoever. "I will get your woman first before I get you, after which I will get your cousin and your mother... Your family will crumble within a month", the person continued, "You choose the month when you take action", with that the person laughed and Jason joined him, "You took action first, so your family will crumble a whole lot and never will mine. Bring it on", Jason said and turned off the phone, unbeknownst to him, Isabelle heard everything. He turned to attend to his pending paperwork but he left to use the restroom, in the process, he forgot to lock his phone. Isabelle stood up when she heard the restroom door closes, she took his phone and scanned through, she acquired all the information she'd ever need to embark on this secret Agenda of hers, making a mental note to deal with whoever is after her boss, or should she call him the father of her late unborn child.
