The taxi dropped Katrina and Mallorie at the front of the bus station. They both came out of the taxi and sat down on one of the benches while waiting for the bus. Katrina couldn't keep her eyes off the bracelet in her hand. She kept staring at it as if it was the greatest thing that had ever happened to her. Mallorie caught her staring at the bracelet and teased her about it.
"Awwww," she cooed, like a baby. "Are you thinking about the king?" Mallorie nudged Katrina on the shoulder.
Katrina frowned at her and rolled her eyes. "I'm not staring at the pearl bracelet because I missed the king. I'm staring at it because I'm wondering why the king gave me something like that, "Katrina explained.
"Hmmm," was all Mallorie responded with. She sniffed the air and inhaled deeply. "This weather," she said, pointing to the sunny sky. "Looks like it's a great day to run. Don't you think? "
