The hunters immediately spread to the forest. They competed to aim for the largest animals in the forest. The Beta hesitated to do so since he knew his strength. If he tried to chase and kill a giant animal, most likely, he wouldn't succeed or even be wounded.
However, a hunter approached the Beta. "Good day, Beta. I wonder about something."
"Oh?"
"The Alpha has already had a son-in-law—our Kappa. Kappa Zee is the best hunter our pack has. So, I know he will be the winner in the hunt race like this."
The Beta only muttered as it was the fact he knew well. "So, what's your point?"
"I think you should strive to win the race."
"Why?" the Beta frowned as there was nothing the hunter would gain by advising him.
The hunter scratched his head and whispered, "Uh, please don't be mad at me. But I heard something."
"Go ahead."
