Raphael's POV.
Mate?
Was she in here with someone else? If she's seeing someone I won't have it. I looked around and found torn clothes that had her addictive sent; they were stashed in the bin next to the lockers. If her clothes are here then she was definitely here, but why are her clothes in shreds?
I could also smell a male on her clothes which only made me angry. I pulled out the sweatshirt and immediately the metallic sent of blood hit me like a truck. The alarms in my head went on immediately making my Lion pace anxiously inside my head. I was taken over by fear when I held the sweatshirt up and saw the blood stains .
Time seemed to stop and I was almost losing control of my Lion. He wanted to find her fast, I let him take over my body because I was completely frozen.
After five minutes we found ourselves in the school gym where her sent was strong; I could still smell blood in the air. I heard silent sobs coming from the bleachers and I instantly knew it was her.
" Hello?" I called out walking towards the silent sobs. I froze when I saw her and it was harder to control my Lion at this point. Who ever did this to her is going to die, and I'll make sure Anubis feeds their souls to the demoness Ammut and I'll watch it like a fucking movie.
" please just leave me," she said her voice a mare whisper. This made my Lion growl at her because there was no way his leaving her alone after seeing what these vile humans did to her.
She was naked, only her panties and her lacy bra covered her body. I was beyond furious.
How dare they touch my mate? They've messed with the wrong person and I'll make sure they understand that. Fuck faced bastards.
I took off my shirt leaving my top-half naked and wrapped it around her. She was injured and I could feel every broken limb of her body when my skin brushed hers. She pressed into me and I almost purred as electric sparks emitted off her skin to mine.
I was about to open a portal when the gym class entered the lights going on. I wanted to take her out of there immediately but those dumb people kept asking foolish questions. I answered them regardless but my patience was running low, and the fact that males were seeing my mate in this state was only making me angry.
I tried keeping my cool till they let us go. She was still crying and that bothered me the most. Entering the nurse's office I laid her gently on the small bed in the corner of the office.
Tiana.
Such a lovely name. I was not happy looking at the bruises decorating her body. Her tummy was developing dark purple patches, her beautiful face had a harsh scar on her chick bone and her lip was busted blood still tricking out of it. Her left eye was decorated with a deep purple bruise. After the nurse administered an anaesthetic to her she went unconscious.
" Here's your shirt, you can leave now," she said handing me my checked shirt. I wanted to heal her but the evidence would be erased. I was about to let go of her hand when her grip got tighter. It was like a powerful magnetic pulling a metal-bar. The nurse wasn't at all pleased when I continued to stay in my place. She threaten to call security to escort me out but Tiana had other plans.
They tried but her hand stayed glued to mine. They finally gave up and I went to the hospital by her side. Her mum was there and I got to know her a little. Tiana woke up briefly on the course of all that was happening though her groans of pain didn't stop and her hold on my hand never filtered. I didn't understand it myself but I let it, must be something to do with the bond.
The cops came over and asked me some questions before they left hoping to get more information when Tiana was awake.
They administered another dose to help her sleep before she was discharged. I ended up at her place that night and I wasn't really complaining. It was past nine PM when she finally let go but her mother was adamant on me staying the night. Jessica had arrived at the time and I was exhausted so I agreed. I had marked her sent so my Lion was satisfied for now.
When everyone was asleep, I cloned myself and left for the underworld. As long as I don't return my clone will stay and act as my eyes and ears in the house. It was draining ony part but I was fine.
I wasn't going to rest till all who caused her pain were in pain.
