Chapter 17 - Chapter seventeen. Ma'at.

Raphael's POV.

" No Raphael, this isn't in the lines of maat," Anput said sternly. I was pacing around the room trying to understand what she meant by it's not in the lines of maat.

I wanted them whipped off the face of the earth/ underworld and she's telling me that it's not in the lines of maat? I don't give a damn at this point because they almost killed her.

" Okay then, let me talk to Inpu," I said putting my hands on my waist. Currently they weren't letting pass to the dark chambers that led to the Hall of maat, where he was currently doing his job.

Kebechet was laughing at this point making me glare at her. " What?" I asked feeling frustrated.

" I never would have imagined that this is how we'd find out about your mate," she giggled.

" And?" I asked growling at her making her laugh more. " Argh please for once act like my grandma," I told her and that mad Anput laugh. Kebechet got up from her seat, her tale slithering on the floor as she made her way over to me.

" You want justice for your mate? And that's what you'll get. Though you can't forget maat, you were born because of it and must surely abide by it," she said coming closer to me. " There two things here. Justice for your mate," she opened one palm. " And Justice for the culprits," she opened another.

" You see my son, one can't exist without the other and I assure you there consequences to every action you make," Anput said.

I should have gone to Hades instead.

" Even Hades wouldn't have helped you," Kebechet said shocking me to the core. " Yes I can read your mind," she smiled showing off her fangs.

I rolled my eyes at her and she glared at me. " And no, you can't feed the mortals to Ammut," Kebechet scolded shocking me.

" But I -"

" You would have considered it," she said going back to her seat as she examined her pet snack Isis. Yes she named it after Isis. " Fine then tell me there names," I said rubbing at my temple.

" Christina, Genesis, Zack and Ethan," Anput said sounding excited all of a sudden.

" Mother," Kebechet gasped before glaring at her mother.

" What?" Anput asked acting innocent. " You just gave him the key to murder them," Kebechet said face palming herself.

" Oh I know," Anput replied," Tiana is a sweet girl and what they did to my future great granddaughter in law was an absolute death wish."  She said smiling widely at me," go teach them a lesson". She added and I was off .

______________

Since maat must be applied I will not anger Kebechet by killing them I'll just simply put sickness on them.

So I went to each of their houses and put a plague that will only stay on them until they confess then maybe I'll cue them. Sekhment had such abilities and I inherited it but also many other things from each god am related to. It's funny how many I have when my sister can only control weather and fire. I guess it has something to do with me being the future ruler of Aryeh.

After I was done I went back to my mates house. Steeping into the guest room, my clone disappeared and I took his place on the bed staring at the boring ceiling. The silence was too loud that my breathing felt like shouting, I couldn't help but reminisce about my mate in the next room; then an idea struck me.

And how much I'll love it.
