I asked my father if I could leave the castle and he allowed it I was currently walking through the city.
It was apparently based off of a dwarven kingdom but the human architecture shone through with a population of 98% human and 1.5% dwarves.
The city was built by my five times great grandfather with the distant future in mind so there was more buildings than people.
The walls were tall and thick but old and crumbling I was looking for a building near the edge of the inside of the walls.
It took all day but I found it an old decaying house no one has been inside for generations inside was the bloodline I was after.
Bloodlines could be passed on in three ways the one that it gets it's name from is from generation to generation, the second is a ritual apparently my family owns a bloodline through the coronation ritual.
The third way was inheritance a person with no relatives or rituals to put their bloodline in dies and can't move on until a person they deem worthy comes in contact with them and passes a trial which was the case for this house.
In the original story the main character finds this bloodline but already had a similar one that destroyed this one making him realise he can't hoard everything a similar situation happens later so I don't have any problems taking this one.
Opening the door the smell of mold and rot permeates the inside this bloodline was actually really easy to get I just have to clean the house up.
As I get to work cleaning the house the trial starts the more I clean the house the more my body ages.
My skin winkling so fast i could feel them form, my back bending so fast it waslike i was being crushed.
Near the end I feel like a bag of bones but the house is clean and an old man appears and speaks.
"All my life I cleaned this house I grew older than others yet never felt old eventually I ended it but I regretted it as soon as I saw my messy house have a city built up around it people avoided this place saying it was cursed.
my power is selfish but to master it you must be selfless my house is done doing it job but this power is not, good luck"
with that he disappeared along with the house around me as I felt a rejuvenating feeling enter my soul whispering it's name as I reverted to my original age.
'the god heart' was its name it was a good regeneration bloodline that made the holder have better regenerative abilities the more people loved them it also at the very base level stopped you from dying of old age or feel most of its effects.
All in all it was very useful for the times ahead and an extremely rare thing bloodlines themselves are hard to come by let alone a regeneration bloodline I decided to walk back to the house.
On the way I kept casting breeze by whispering 'breeze' until my head felt empty a sign that any further would be bad but that feeling disappeared pretty fast and I continued casting the rest of the way home.
My new bedroom was rather extravagant this city made a lot of income from artists and travellers it only had a population of 20'000 but many of those people were very creative and we got an influx of travellers every so often.
The libary had an abundance of information I made very good use of, but due to that I have not had any proper rest for a week and I blacked out as soon as my head hit the pillow.
When I awoke just before dawn I felt as if I was completely relaxed and decided to start the last part of my personal strengthening martial arts.
In this world three main power systems existed first was magic, second was bloodlines, and lastly matial arts.
I was planning not to 'learn' a martial art but instead create one and for that to happen four things needed to happen one I need to choose a weapon and learn how to use it really well.
Ywo I needed to create 5 levels and at least one strong technique for each one, third I needed a dragon heart, and lastly I need to be able to use at least green martial aura.
Obviously I didn't expect to be able to do any of these straight away but I did at least need to learn a weapon and I chose a staff.
It was a good multifaceted weapon that was easy to get exhibit A the broom I just unscrewed the bottom off and was walking to the training ground.
At first I just twirled it around but then I started to get a bit more serious and tried to imagine a humanoid enemy I also consistently kept casting breeze which actually helped keep me cool although my new bloodline is probably also helping.
Come to think of it I've been at this for about 10 minutes and haven't broken a sweat I kept practising I stopped casting breeze every now and then when my head felt empty but I always continued once that feeling stopped.
breeze was known as the easiest air spell to master but as I said mastery of a spell was impossible so it was actually a very fast growing spell the same situation applied to spark the fire spell.
Before long I realised it was already quite late in the afternoon and the training ground was filled with members of Serothor's small army I must of looked quite weird swinging a stick and whispering breeze over and over.
Then I got an idea and went up to one of the soldiers and spoke.
"let's spar"
He got a bit flustered but nodded and took a stance with his wooden sword he attacked first I was able to parry but he dodged my counter attack I pulled my staff back to block but it was too late his practice sword was at my throat and he gave me some feedback.
"You're pretty good milord but you were too slow with your counter attack and should have tried to dodge not block"
I smiled back and replied with one word
"again"
