With the routine established I could finally sleep surprisingly though I could only sleep for four hours before I wake up fully rested must be a side effect of the ancient heart.
Before I knew it three weeks of training had flown by and I had traditionally mastered breeze though once mastered breeze is called gust it is still weak but much more useful than at first now it was just a matter of continuing to master it.
I was getting stronger and more coordinated but for some reason I looked scrawny and unhealthy like a frail prince even though I was probably the healthiest person in the country.
It was about time to start on the second phase of training mixed chores and exercise and officially time to add the serothor women's unit with the rest surprisingly almost everyone in the unit could match me in a physical fight if they used magic.
Which was not the case for the rest of the army there were some stars but also weaker people but I had a plan on what to do with the weaker drafted people.
I had a list of people unsuited to the front lines it was only about 100 people but I was planning on making 5 groups of twenty to do different tasks such as scouting and archery really anything that wasn't on the front line.
It was easy to seperate the hundred and integrate the women's unit into the main army the hard part was creating a new routine I had to create a regimen that was focused on cleaning and cooking while also teaching combat skills.
After thinking I was able to come up with a few ideas with cooking I would have them hunt and forage and also cook with weapons so they get more familiar with how metal weapons feel and work.
For maintenance they would have to care for their weapons to make sure they are sharp and as for cleaning I would teach them about hygiene and have them carry water to bathe themselves instead of using magic crystals.
Though it wasn't exactly much it would definitely help at the very least toughen them up of course i was going to keep the laps around the city and the city run I would just move the few hours of training and sparring to a single day.
Once I was able to get those orders out the real fun began with teaching the specialty units I started with the archers.
The archers were twenty people that were pretty good at learning techniques but had both low endurance and lacking in pain tolerance.
The bows were simple enchanted short bows able to pierce iron armour if unable to hit any weak spots
I had zero clue how to shoot a bow but I had my father track down a hunter bowman.
He was an older man in his fifties his grey hair was messy but my father assured me he was the best there was.
I walked up to him and introduced myself.
"Hello sir I am prince zeth I have been told you're the best archer in the area and I would like you to teach these guys"
I pointed to the 20 men and the old man spoke.
"Don't worry your father has already paid me a pretty coin give them to me for a month and you will have archers that rival an empires best and please call me Jason"
I replied
"very well Jason I leave them to you"
With that I left I sent the scout unit to train with hunters and a few original soldiers and only three units were left I had twenty men learn a few basics from craftsmen and twenty men to start taking maths and language classes.
Only one unit was left, the healers.
Healing magic existed in this world but most techniques are coveted by religious organisations and although minor heal works it doesn't have an element and therefore cannot improve but I do know one teachable healing magic.
Light magic was the most popular and rarest healing magic, dark magic at high levels could heal, water magic can heal shallow surface wounds, and fire magic could sense life-force.
Earth magic had no healing spells and wind magic could only relive pain however there is one magic capable of good healing that isn't coveted.
Nature magic or better described as life magic it only appears near the end of what I read but it is a perfectly good healing magic.
The reason that it isn't widespread knowledge is because it is thought only elves and fae could use it.
The twenty remaining people I chose them because either they really liked magic but were not good at fighting or they were pacifists and I started addressing them.
"You have been gathered to fulfil a very special role all twenty of you know minor heal and I have decided to assign you the role of a healer"
I heard a few of them mumble about healing being a job for cowards and women and I went off.
"How dare you insult healing it is a crucial part of both war and peace times and I know for certain that if they used their magic the women's unit could beat every single one of you"
Actually I'm pretty sure Elise could probably take on all of them that girl is legitimately terrifying.
it went silent so I continued.
"Unlike the other units I myself will be teaching healing and medicine I need each one of you to repeat what I say exactly got it?"
"yes"
They all replied so I recited the activation chant.
"I call upon the world to lend me its life which is boundless, I beg upon the world to heal"
They all repeated it and a murmur resounded as apparently they felt nothing this is the reason it was said races other than fae and elves couldn't use it but that's because it isn't the same life magic uses the world as a catalyst.
If a person uses this spell to much they won't feel a headache because the magic doesn't go through them but instead it simply flows out.
If someone abuses this it doesn't make them pass out or die it cripples them from using magic that's why the people who did discover this before say that humans are incompatible with life magic.
I started speaking.
"You can now say life heal and it will heal people but be careful you won't feel when you're at your limit"
The next few hours was spent explaining how everything worked I returned to my bedroom and looked at my journal.
There was only one month until the empires declared war and everyone gets pulled into a free for all war.
