Nana reached over her shoulder, picking up the book. As her hand touched the cover of the book she felt a jolt run through her.
"The end of the magic era has come! Give in!" A familiar voice spoke to her, yet she couldn't pin it down. Memories flashed in her minds, though, they weren't hers. It looked as if they were in the future, a distant future.
"Nana? You alright?" Magi looked frightened, "We have to help these students get out, they're all injured and can't move."
Nana took the book and kept it hidden in her jacket. "Yeah, let's go. Find any remaining people who're still breathing and carry them out of the school." The room reeked of blood, the walls covered in flesh bright red blood. Nana carefully walked towards the end of the classroom. She covered her mouth with her hand as she gasped. Lin, sat emotionlessly against the wall, a piece of glass struck him in the neck, hitting his artery. "Lin!" She shouted. She got down on her knees, "Can you hear me Lin? Can you breathe?" There was no response. "C'mon Lin, this is no place to die." She lifted Lin's head up, revealing the wound that was inflicted on him. A clear cut through the throat, blood pooling around Nana's hand. She gasped as she backed away from Lin, it was too late. Lin was bleeding out and he was barely alive, his throat was completely destroyed, not able to talk.
"CHARGE!" A voice from outside the window could be heard. Magi, step by step, approached the shattered window. He saw the sun, now almost completely eclipsed, casting a shadow on the hundreds of thousands of people charging towards the school. It was an all out war.
Nana grasped Lin, holding him close, the blood spilt onto Nana's purple robe. She clutched him hard, almost tearing the shirt Lin was wearing. "Lin!" She cried out. Her eyes tearing up, she clutched harder. "Na....na...." A graspy voice muttered, it was Lin, he was barely alive, he only had the strength to utter out a small noise. He mustered all his strength to bring his arm up, behind Nana. "No, Lin, no, this is no place to die, you have to live! What about your dreams of being the next Merlin? You have to live!" Nana biting her Lin's shirt to stop her from crying. Her vision became blurry as she felt the warm red blood flow down her hand onto her arm. "No Lin, you can't die. You have to live, for me, for everyone. For yourself." Nana couldn't stand it anymore, tears pouring out from her eyes, spilling onto Lin's blood stained shirt.
"Hey, Nana, if we ever go to the same school, will you promise me we'll still be friends?" Lin sat in the sand box as a young child, "Can we please still be friends?"
"That's not up to me, that's up to you" Nana as a child replied, "Besides, you're so annoying, why would I still be friends with you." Nana replied sarcastically.
"Please Nana? Pinky promise me." Lin stood up from the sand box, his shorts completely covered in sand. "We both will be the best wizards and witches in the world!" Lin proudly exclaimed.
"I love you." Nana said under her breath as a single tear drop trickled down her cheek, falling onto Lin's hand.
-----Scene 2-----
"I repeat, this is not a drill. All citizens of Laftis are to evacuate immediately." A loud siren blaring in the background. "An unknown force has declared war over Laftis, causing major damage to the Eastern border of Laftis. The unknown force is currently rampaging through the east of Laftis."
Screams echoing through the streets of the bustling main city of Laftis. People stampeding to get into bunkers for safety.
"Mama! Papa!" A child called out as she clutches her Teddy bear, "Mama!" Her cries for help drowned by the footsteps of others. "Ah!" The child was pushed to the ground by someone who was running. Her elbow was bleeding and she was crying for help. No one stopped, they continued to run to evacuate.
"How the hell did I get myself stuck in this mess?" A man sat atop the roof top, admiring the view of people hopelessly running for their lives, "What a terrible county to vacation in." He swirled the glass of wine.
"Sir! We need your help immediately! An unknown entity has breached the borders of Laftis and is rampaging through the country. Laftis is currently sending all their military forces towards the entity but all efforts seem futile. The Laftis government has requested the help of all S rank and up Wizards in Laftis." He saluted.
"Very well. Even on my vacation, I still have to do work. This era of magic will never know peace." He crushed the glass of wine in his hands, spilling wine all over the floor.
-----Scene 3-----
"Requesting immediate help at Laftis University!" The principle hid underneath his desk. "Laftis University is situated directly north of the Eastern border. A large shockwave has nearly leveled the entire school, we are requesting back up!" The principle said.
Lightning strikes could be heard outside the school, the moon slowly eclipsing the sun more and more. Back up had came but they were all futile. There stood a single man, backed up by countless rows of undead soldiers.
"Let The Eclipsing begin." The man smirked. "CHARGE!"
The undead soldiers charged towards the school, their shadows casted by the fully eclipse sun.
