"Tada!" Lin presented the door proudly towards Nana.
"You wanted to show me a locked door?" Nana said unimpressed.
"No, behind this door is the secret to the universe. Now, usually students aren't allow to enter this restricted zone, but being apart of the school council helps." Lin said proudly. "But of course, none of us are allowed to enter here still, just think of it as us just exploring. C'mon aren't you excited? We're breaking the rules!" Lin had been a goody two shoes his entire life, never once stepped out of line, he wouldn't even walk across the street even if there were no cars.
"Uh, sure, but if I die in here I'm suing your entire family." Nana glared sarcastically at Lin. "So, how do we get in this secret library everyone's so afraid of?"
"That's simple, look at this neat trick I learnt." Lin pressed his hands against the wall, "Let thy secrets be released!" Nothing happened.
"Wow, amazing talent." Nana said sarcastically while clapping. "Let me show you my secret technique." Nana took a couple steps back and charged into the door at full speed.
"Talk about being secretive." Lin said
The door broke and small chunks of wood scattered everywhere.
"You're too strong for your own good." Lin told Nana.
Beyond the doors were a dark room, void of any light. The only thing visible was a large stand in the middle of the room with a glowing yellow object atop of it.
"Incredible, you brought me to the janitor's closet, you can see the mop right next to the giant altar." Nana said sarcastically. "What do you want from this damp dirty place anyway, the secret to picking up girls? You're gonna have to try harder than just reading some book."
"Take a look around, see if anything catches your eye. Here, let there be light!" Fhil appeared from above Lin and flew straight towards Nana. "Bad choice on my part. Should've chosen something less Fhil-y"
"Newm!" Fhil snuggled in-between Nana's arm.
"Fhil!" Nana cuddled with the sentient fire ball.
"Right well, nows not the time to reunite with your sentient fire ball, we should quickly go through this library before they come." Lin said.
BOOM!
"What was that?" Nana looked behind cautiously. She was now in a completely different location of the library. Surrounded by large tall shelves of books. "Lin! Where are you!" Nana shouted out.
"Over here!" Lin shouted. His voice sounded like it came from the right, but when Nana tried running to the right, she came across a dead end. "Can you see me? I'm right here!" Lin continued shouting
Nana frantically runs through the dark halls, lighted only by Fhil. "Shit! Where are you? I don't know where 'here' is!" Nana shouted. Nana then heard a large pounding noise approaching her. A large light shined in her direction. Nana quickly ran and hid under an empty shelf.
Stomp. Stomp. Stomp.
Nana hid underneath the shelf and kept Fhil under her shirt to keep him hidden and dark. A pair of dark leather boots started walking past Nana and she held her mouth to keep the thing from hearing her.
"I know you're here, show yourself! All students are prohibited from entering here!" The voice shouted.
"Oh god, thanks Lin, now we're gonna get expelled." Nana thought to herself. She slowly slid out from beneath the shelf and booked out of the corridor.
"Stop at once! I hear you!" The voice started getting closer and closer towards Nana.
Nana started to run through random corridors and took random turns. The voice kept getting closer and closer. "Stop at once! I hear you!" The voice kept repeating the same line over and over again.
"Shit, I forgot where the entrance was, what was that sound before anyway?" Nana thought to herself. "I can't find Lin anywhere."
She took a right turn and ended up in the entrance, only the door was gone and a new stone door in its absence. An altar stood mightily in the middle of the room, a large yellow stone shining brightly in the middle of the altar. A circle was carved and indented onto the stone slab with a corona surrounding the circle. A large curved line cut through the middle of the circle, resembling the moon eclipsing the sun. The large yellow gem was placed in the middle of the slab, surrounded by blood that coursed through the indents of the slab.
"What the hell is this? I saw it earlier when we came in but I never noticed the pattern engraved into it." Nana hovered over the altar, closely investigating it. "There's some writing on the sides of the slab, it seems to be in some ancient hieroglyphs. Hey Fhil, you're old right, can you translate this text?"
Fhil was no where to be seen, he'd completely disappeared.
"Perfect timing Lin, couldn't be at a better time." Nana said sarcastically.
"Stop at once! I hear you!" The voice came close. "Stop at once! I hear you!" The voices kept multiplying.
Nana was getting nervous, she was trapped in a room with several paths leading towards the altar and her. The only way out was the door behind her. The same symbol that was engraved on the altar was also on the door but there was a large indent in the wall. Large metallic chains was covering the door.
"The yellow stone looks like it fits pretty well into the indent. Guess I'll try putting it in, better than getting expelled or dying in this rotten library." Nana picked up the stone from the altar but as she did, the entire room started to shift, book shelves moving around, the floor rotating and flipping. "What the hell?"
BOOM!
The same large sound that she heard before happened again, but this time, from behind the door. The entire room started getting more and more different, books started flying off of the shelves and ripped pages flew across the room. Nana was pushed back from a large gust of wind.
"A prophet." a voice spoke inside Nana's head. She clutched her ears with both her hands, to block the loud violent sounds of the wind.
BOOM! The door behind her started shaking from the large sound. BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! The pounding sound was in succession, getting louder and louder each time. Nana took her hands off her ear and picked up the yellow stone again. Onto the yellow stone were the letters ' V I A' engraved onto the stone. Nana slowly started backing up, towards the door where the pounding sounds were heard, she slowly walked towards the door, and placed the gem into the indent on the door. All the shaking and wind stopped, all the books fell to the ground and the bookshelves returned to normal. The stone disintegrated into the door, turning the sun symbol yellow and bright, overshadowing the moon. The chains on the door started disintegrating and the large doors opened.
