"Anyone would be scared of you if you demanded answers like that. You sounded like you wanted to kill her, and given your reputation, I am not surprised in the least that she could not talk," Fayan recalled Gage saying after he explained what had happened between the princess and him. Gage had a way of taking information out of Fayan without Fayan realizing it. Maybe it was one of the reasons why Gage was very useful to him.
Fayan shook his head, kicking on his horse to go faster as he approached the palace. He was stopped immediately by a high-ranking guard, the King's guard, who only talked to Fayan when the King asked for him.
"Tell the King I can not see him this evening," Fayan turned his face to the other side, as another guard approached him and his horse, taking the horse's reins from Fayan.
