Magdalena walked like she counted her steps, or maybe it was the shoes she always wore that made it sound like she loved walking more than anything because she probably loved the sound of her walking through the hallways. Whatever the case was, Lela didn't know, but it made it easy for her to detect Magdalena whenever she was close. And indeed Magdalena was close, she was close to Lela's room.
