Aurora's Pov
There was just no way I could fall asleep, and definitely not after such a terrible nightmare.
It was simply just too frightening for me to even try for the fear that the images of having to watch him die again might return.
That I would have to watch his heart slowly beat away as the blade dug in deeper and deeper until it reached its destination. Or the way the crimson liquid flowed out of his body in torrents as the blade got drawn out from his chest.
I just couldn't stop picturing his broken body lying there on that cold hard ground, as he breathed his last, his eyes wide open, but showing no signs of life...
Even after I woke up from that dream, I wasn't able to convince myself that it wasn't real. My brain wouldn't just let me get any rest as it played the gruesome image over and over again.
