Jason's Pov
My eyelids flicker open to the flashes of light that pass through the particles of colloids in the forest and are scattered throughout, blinding me temporarily. I groan, attempting to bring one hand up to cover my eyes and protect myself from the painful lights as they continue to flash across my field of vision.
I grit my teeth and begin pulling myself from the dried leaves that are all around me and push myself onto shaky legs.
I look down at myself, seeing my bare torso covered in red scratches and cuts. My hands are covered in dirt, leaves and dried blood on the little torn clothes left on my almost bare body.
My body ached, feeling like a truck had been running over me, but I ignored it as I began walking, my head lowered and hands balled into fists at my sides.
