Without a second thought, Runa ran towards the forest. Mandy's screams got louder and louder and sounded like a frightened scream.
Runa wanted to shout for Mandy, and let her know she was here. But since she didn't know what the situation was, she decided to move in silence.
Runa stopped a few meters from the edge of the forest. She could vaguely see three figures in the thick trees. Mandy, who was at the closest distance to her. Even in limited vision, Runa could see Mandy's body trembling with fear. Mandy turned and ran, but she tripped and fell to the ground.
Another figure chased after her in a frantic, fast, and terrifying motion. It wasn't a move that any human on earth could make, and that fact made Runa feel nauseous. What creature is that?
Runa struggled to jump over tree roots that were sticking out of the ground to help Mandy. But the more she ran, the more the distance between them felt.
