Susan walked toward Lady Weber's office and saw several palace guards standing at the end of the corridor from a distance, wearing armor and motionless, looking like a row of silver decorations.
She realized that palace guards were everywhere if it wasn't lunchtime.
Susan knocked on the door, and Lady Weber's serious voice immediately came out, "Come in."
Susan took a deep breath and entered the room. Without daring to peep at Lady Weber's face, she curtseyed in a very disciplined manner and stood there motionless.
"It seems the Chief has a lot of questions." Lady Weber said coldly.
Susan sighed in her heart: Lady Weber really doesn't like the Chief.
"What did he ask? And what are you doing standing by the door?" Lady Weber's voice sounded unhappy.
