Jessa looked to Amelia and Caleb. She didn't know what this man had in mind with them, but she could only hope he was as nice as he seemed. She got into the vehicle and didn't know what to do. She had rarely been in a car. She was only permitted to ride in a vehicle when she had to tend to one of the she-wolves or cater at a function. Her eyes were wide at the luxury of the inside of this one. The neat black leather seats were so buttery and the carpets cleaner than the ones in the packhouse. There was a small refrigerator with bottles of chilled water and snacks. She was so hungry her stomach growled loudly. She felt color rise to her face and she dropped her eyes to her feet.
Somehow, though she couldn't understand why, leaving felt wrong. The closer she and the others got to the pack border, the stronger the feeling became. James sat across from them and took note of it. He cleared his throat and finally spoke up.
"I am Alpha James Killian, I run the Rising Moon pack. Among my pack, you'll have free will. You'll not be omegas amongst my pack. We have none of those. All our members are free. We will find you all a place amongst our ranks. You can do as you please, if there is a skill you have, we may ask that you work with that particular skill. I know you must be feeling discomfort at this stage as we are reaching the end of your previous pack's land. If you choose to join my pack, I ask you to denounce your previous pack and accept mine."
Amelia was the first to do so by saying clearly that she denounced the pack and accepted the new. Caleb followed her lead.
As for Jessa, she had one last thing she wanted to do before severing the tie. She didn't waste her time and she used her mindlink to say loudly and boldly
'Alpha mark, thank you for saving me those years ago. I am truly grateful for my life. And to the rest of you? Kiss my a** for the hell you've put me through. Especially YOU the so called "Luna". I'm not responsible for your sister's death. She saved an innocent infant, and I'm sure she'd be appalled to know how you repaid her sacrifice. You are a truly useless wolf and an absolute disgrace to the Luna title. I hope you learn to do better. As for the so-called future Alpha? This pack is absolutely doomed when you take over. You couldn't lead a dog to a bowl of food on a leash and your Luna is as useless as the current. For my so-called mate? I'd have rejected you before you ever got your hands on me. You're the most disgusting, obnoxious, ugly and morally demented person I've ever seen. I'm glad it hurt you when I rejected you! I didn't even really feel much pain, but I saw your face. And I hope it reminded you of every disgusting and horrible thing you've said and done to me. And as for you Hanny, I hope you have yourself a wonderful time once I say exactly what I've wanted to for years. Julien might've marked a chosen mate, and the bond might not be the same, I suppose that's why you've gotten away with it for so long, but no more." She could hear the curiosity of the others and the anger from a few, but she didn't care. She continued on pulling forth the memory into the mindlink for everyone else to see Hanny, her face flushed, her breasts in Julien's hands, him behind her thrusting into her his eyes dark as he pounded and panted. "They've been doing this as many times a week as they could possibly sneak away. And Hanny don't feel at all special, there's more than just you!" She brought up the memories of several other she-wolves, being drilled by Julien. One, a mated young omega she-wolf un-named, who bore Caleb and then was swiftly sold off and later killed. This memory wasn't hers, but rather one shared from her adoptive mother overheard. She could distinctly feel two hearts breaking and one completely destroyed. She felt the utter fury of many elder wolves. His cheap actions had finally been exposed to the world. She had been made to watch since she was young. He was a sick perverted bastard. "As you can see, this is your great Beta! A pathetic womanizing moron! And with that I'm out of here. I don't know what my future holds, but anything will be better than here!'
She broke the mindlink and felt the weight that held her down fall away. No more suppression. She felt something she hadn't in a long time, hope.
She smiled and laughed out loud. Her entire body shaking with it. It hurt the wounds but it healed her soul. She felt lighter. She felt free…
