Lin Hao and his companions organized themselves tightly as they prepared to go upwards onto the main floor of the Cultist's fortress.
It would be a rough battle against a larger amount of enemies. However, their enemies would be lacking compared to the Executioner.
The Executioner had been a form of "mini boss" compared to the lackeys who patrolled throughout the fortress.
Lin Hao opened his status screen and analyzed his newfound stats obtained from this level up. Richie and Fu Mei were now level 3, while Lin Hao was level 4.

His stats were causing him to become stronger, he could feel his mind was so much more fluid than his past self.
His dexterity and strength were now far above what a normal human being could do, and his mind thought at-least four times faster compared to an ordinary human being.
"Alright, what's the plan Lin Hao?" Richie asked, brimming with confidence from their earlier battle.
Lin Hao was tempted to say to just leave things to him, but he looked at his companions and chose to put his faith in them. "What do you guys think we should do?"
"Well. I'm glad you asked for myyyy. Heh. Professional opinion." Richie said filled with bravado in a weird voice that immediately made Lin Hao uncomfortable.
"I think we should just...Go in and kill them." He said plainly.
Fu Mei and Lin Hao looked at Richie as if he were crazy.
"That's it? That's all you got?" Fu Mei said, confused.
"Well....Let's think. We know they all use magic right? And the best way to deal with a magic user in video games is having the physical attacker snatch them up. " Richie began to continue his explanation.
"Lin Hao can easily close the distance and just stomp em. Neither of us should be exposing ourselves too easily, We can stay distant from Lin Hao and support him with different attacks. But we all already know how to do this."
It was a keen observation on Richie's part. He had taken into account their strengths and weaknesses, treating it like an RPG video game party. Fu Mei was shocked by Richards observation, "I agree." She said.
Lin Hao then began to take point in their formation, Fu Mei and Richie standing a notable distance away from him.
This would not only allow them to easily counter attack whatever came from a distance, but also have better aim and prevent Lin Hao from being attacked in the rear.
"Lin Hao's kind of like the main character. He has some weird over powered ability, and he keeps trying to play hero. Just look at him. Now he looks like a Hero in shining armor!' Richie exclaimed, pointing to Lin Hao.
"What do you even think of the guy anyway." Richie said to Fu Mei, the two conversing.
"Well...Me and Lin Hao used to date before we ended up here. I'm not sure if he told you about that." Richie's eyes then threatened to pop out of his head, "What what What!!! Your his-" He took a dramatic and over the top gasp, ignoring the fact that they were in a dangerous fortress of all things right now.
"GIRLFRIEND!?" Richie was taken aback by this sudden revelation.
He had thought Lin Hao simply wanted to play hero for a random woman he happened to know. He could understand that, Richie himself had been quite the flirtatious person with women back on earth.
Fu Mei meanwhile wanted to die on the spot, 'Should I kill him right now...' she contemplated with the crossbow in hand, embarrassed by Richie's shouting.
Lin Hao turned around to face the two, "Hey. Don't forget where we are." As if right on cue, the party's conversation was interrupted by the sounds of footsteps ahead of them.
it was a sizable group of multiple people running towards their current position within the Cultist's fortress.
"Get ready for a fight." Lin Hao declared, brandishing his Glaive with slight prowess.
He had never wielded one in his life before, but the skill granted to him by the system allowed him to understand how to use it quicker.
The Glaive was natural in his hands right now. It glowed with an intense metallic sheen while held up.
Lin Hao had a trick up his sleeve, but he would test it out upon seeing whoever it was that was coming.
Fu Mei and Richie took stances of their own to get ready, "You and your loud mouth." Fu Mei said to him frustrated. "What! I'm just so shocked I-" Richie stuttered out, before getting ready for battle.
