"I won, again!" I hooted, pumping my fist into the air just as I snatch the last piece of Callum's pebble off from the board.
The captain only set his jaw tight with a quirk on his lips, staring at the remaining pieces of my shells on the board with my king in the middle where his last pebble had disappeared. Though, what really took most of my attention was the way the soft yellow hues danced on the outline of his face coming from the torch he hung right next to the doorway.
That strong and proud jaw that could cut through anything, the stubbles that had grown longer since we were cast on this island, had me wondering what would it feels like if I touch him there. Surely, it would be rough against my palm.
"I'll admit, you're getting good at this, caileag," he commended, taking my trance off his features and staring at his mismatched gaze.
