Red started to get frightened when she saw Drake spit blood after the tentacle of the dead tree penetrated above his chest and stomach.
She's been trying to ignite a flame using magic, but she still has no luck.
"Why isn't it working? Why am I so useless?!" Red's expression was full of self-loathing as tears rolled down her cheeks.
Because of the frustration, Red stood absentmindedly and walked out of the hiding place.
"Am I destined to live alone? Why is everyone I know dying? From the day I was born—" Red murmured with so much dismay as she remembered her parents and Catherine.
[The tentacles of the dead tree sensed Red's movement, so they waited for her to reach the light.]
Meanwhile, Drake is clueless about Red's plan because he is busy with his problem.
"If I can last until dawn, then it will be over," Drake affirmed while panting. He found out that wounds received from dead tree tentacles take ten minutes to heal.
