Chereads / KISSED BY THE DARK ALPHA / Chapter 8 - YOU ARE MY MATE

Chapter 8 - YOU ARE MY MATE

Once Jaxon and Archer entered the house and went straight to the second floor where they knew their alpha would be, they tried to open the door when Micah had opened it first.

"Micah what are you doing here?" That was the first question that Jaxon asked him, but instead of answering that, Micah simply handed Archer a note, which puzzled him.

"I need you to get those for me," Micah said curtly before he closed the door again and didn't allow the two of them to step inside the room.

However, Jaxon could catch another scent, a sweet scent, which was most likely a woman's, from inside the bedroom and literally all over this house.

"What is this? Is this a shopping list?" Archer frowned, as he opened the paper that his alpha gave to him. He then tilted his head and looked at his brother. "Does the alpha want us to go shopping?" He stared at him quizzically.

Jaxon furrowed his brows and took the note from his hand to check what it was about. It was indeed a shopping list.

"What is it? Does the alpha intend to cohabitate with someone?" Archer too, could smell a sweet scent from inside the bedroom.

The gamma stared at the closed door. As long as he could remember, their alpha had never been with someone else and never got entangled with any woman, unless it was the woman who was destined for him.

This realization made Archer's eyes grow wider, as he looked at his brother. "Are you thinking the same thing as I do?"

"I don't remember the last time you used your brain." Jaxon made a witty remark at his brother's statement and walked away.

"You don't need to be mean to me, you know. I am your beloved brother," Archer wailed at him.

=========================

Hazel woke up with this tingling feeling on her neck, someone touched her in a way that made her very comfortable. She could also feel the warmth that was emanating from his body, and she instinctively leaned over to snuggle closer.

Was this a dream? But, why did it feel so real until she was unable to differentiate it?

Hazel put her palms against this man's chest, which felt very sturdy and strong. This was the safest feeling that she had ever felt in her life. A feeling that made her want to give up everything and stay forever like this.

If this was a dream, she refused to wake up.

This man in her dream seemed to know where he had to touch her, which made her feel content and at ease.

Oh, she wished she had a man like this in her life, not like that scumbag of a human, who had dumped her just because it was her older sister who inherited the company.

"I am real and I can give you more than a small company, love, just wake up and open your eyes." This velvety voice was very pleasant in her ears.

"No…" Hazel mumbled. She snuggled even closer because she didn't want to wake up just yet. She wanted to take pleasure from this dream a little bit longer, because she didn't want to face her reality.

The man chuckled lightly and caressed her back, his strong hand traced her spine and made her shiver in delight.

"I am real and I am yours," Micah said in his hoarse voice. Of course, he was hers. He would do everything for her. He would do anything necessary to keep her alive.

Seven years. It was seven years from now before that wretched day would happen. Seven years before the day he lost her would come. Micah had seven years to figure out what he had to do to prevent that from happening.

He was not going to lose her again, no matter what it cost.

Not only her, there was their daughter too… Iris, their precious little angel. He was not going to lose both of them again.

Micah didn't think that he would be able to go through a broken heart again.

Meanwhile, Hazel furrowed her brows when she finally realized it didn't really feel like a dream at all. The man was talking to her and he was very much alive and solid for being a mere dream.

Slowly, Hazel opened her eyes, and met with a sturdy chest clad in white shirt, so close to her, since this man was, literally, hugging her and then when she lifted her head slightly, she could see the most beautiful blue eyes that she had ever seen in her life, staring down at her.

And once the moment of 'awe' had passed, all the memories rushed back to her mind; her encounter with this strange man, how an animal turned into human and now he had been here, in her house! For how long? How long had she been unconscious?

"What!?" Hazel's first response was to entangle herself from him and stay as far away as she could from this man.

Yet, Micah didn't approve that and he held her even tighter, because he didn't want her to be away from him.

"Let me go!" Hazel protested.

"You are the one that hugged me first," Micah countered.

"Who are you? I will call the police if you don't let me go," Hazel said sternly. She felt her neck was a little bit sore, probably because she slept for days. She was not even sure what time of the day it was…

Micah smiled beautifully, which mesmerized Hazel, even at times like this. She had to admit that this man was very pleasant on the eyes, more than pleasant if she could say.

"Thank you," Micah said softly, chuckling when he saw how the fascination in her eyes turned into mortification the moment she remembered this part of reality.

Hazel almost forgot the fact that this strange man could read her mind.

"No way… who are you? What are you?" Hazel demanded.

"I am a lycan and you are my mate."
