It still baffled Hazel to learn how that man was able to know everything about her, especially about today's hearing and this dress.
Hazel didn't want to wear it, but at one glance she knew that she loved this dress. She saw it once when it was exhibited for the first time, but the price was too steep for her wallet. She wouldn't be able to eat for a week if she bought the dress, which was not worth it.
However, now, the dress was delivered straight to her hands and she could wear it.
"I will not wear this, I will just try it." Her pride didn't allow her to give that man the satisfaction of knowing that she wore this dress, but her impulsiveness made Hazel falter.
In the end, she decided to only try it for a moment before she changed into her own dress.
Yet, the moment she saw herself in the mirror, she was amazed as to how perfectly the dress suited her. She looked beautiful to say the least… Well, every girl wanted to look well dressed, she was not an exception either.
At this point, she didn't want to let go of this dress. Ugh! She was being so indecisive.
Hazel studied herself in the mirror, as she pouted because she didn't want to take this dress off, but her pride…
In the end, she threw her pride out of the window and chose a bag along with a pair of high heels that matched perfectly with the dress.
Hazel knew Gaia and Stefan would be there, thus she didn't want to look shabby and give her big sister a chance to pick on her. She had had enough of the two of them, while her mother and the man that she called father were the worst, and the rest of the family weren't any better either.
They treated her crudely for things that were not even her mistakes, or something that was out of her control…
In the end, Hazel decided to swallow her pride and wear the dress the man gave her and walked out of her bedroom once she was done.
Right beside the door, Hazel found the man leaning against the wall, waiting for her.
"I thought you had left," Hazel mumbled. She didn't want him in her house, but she couldn't deny that he had taken care of her while she was sick.
And from the way he dressed and carried himself, she wouldn't believe he was a homeless guy. At the very least, a man with such an intimidating vibe like him, owned some real estate firm or a successful company.
"I will always be with you, so you need to get used to it," Micah replied simply, but his eyes were glued to her, as he added a generous compliment. "You look so beautiful."
"I know," Hazel said curtly, as she walked down the stairs. "I don't know you or what you want from me or what your intentions are, but I want you to leave once I get home."
Hazel stopped walking once they were at the bottom of the stairs and turned around to look at Micah. Ugh. He was so handsome. How could someone like this barge into her house? She was actually very curious.
There was a little smirk on the corner of Micah's lips, as he stared at Hazel and listened to her.
"Understood?" At this moment, Hazel was still in denial about the fact that Micah was a shifter. She pushed any thoughts related to it to the back of her mind and forced herself to believe that she was only seeing things. That was not real. After all, he shifted in the span of a few seconds. She could have seen it wrong.
On the other hand, Micah didn't want to push her further than this, he knew that she would eventually come to terms with it. It was only a matter of time.
"I can't promise you that," Micah replied, which annoyed her.
"This is my house." Hazel stomped her feet, a habit whenever she wanted to emphasize her point. "You are not allowed to be here. I will call the police if you are still here when I get home."
"You don't need to call the police, let's have a deal instead."
But then, Hazel heard light footsteps behind her. She was startled when she realized there were other people inside her house. Out of instinct, she turned around to face this new intruder only to find out that he was the most wanted bachelor in this city.
"Archer Ashdown!" Hazel covered her mouth when she saw him. She shook her head in disbelief, because there was no way it was him.
What did the most important person in this country want to do here? He must be someone that looked a lot like that businessman, right?
Hazel's mind reeled when she saw this, but she was not able to put it into words. She was still trying to think that she had mistaken him.
However, Archer simply looked at her in confusion and tilted his head. "Do I know you?" he asked. He had seen her and knew her background because he and Jaxon assumed this girl was their alpha's mate, thus it was their responsibility to know everything about their future luna.
Yet, Archer didn't think that they had met with each other before this.
"No, no, you don't know me," Hazel replied. She waved her hand and explained briefly. "Of course, I know you, there is no way no one will not know you."
Ashdown was the name of the most successful family in this country and the two Ashdown brothers, absolutely, were the most desired men, especially with the fact that both of them were still single.
And right at that time, Jaxon appeared and this made Hazel gasp in shock.
What the hell?! How could the two Ashdown siblings be here?! Moreover, Jaxon looked more handsome than himself in the picture.
"Uhm… Pardon me, you can kill my brother with what you are thinking right now," Archer said carefully.
