His beast was restless and it was Micah's first time to feel something like this. He furrowed his brows deeply and loosened the tie around his neck, as his breathing quickened.
Micah looked around him quickly, as if there was someone inside this room that would attack him or something. However, that didn't seem right, because he was safe here, he knew that.
Yet, what was this feeling? It was not him, it was his beast. It was restless and on the verge of lashing out, though Micah was not able to fathom what caused it.
Micah's blue eyes turned slightly darker before they flickered to black. He kept shaking his head when he felt this sudden urge to shift.
The urge to shift drove him crazy, as Micah had never felt something like this before. He had never had a problem controlling his beast. As the alpha of the lycanthropes, he knew that his beast was stronger than the rest of their kind, but there was never a day that he had a problem controlling himself, until today.
The room was spinning in Micah's head. His claws emerged from the tips of his fingers, as he fought himself to stay in his human skin, yet the battle in his head was arduous.
A deep and threatening growl rumbled in his chest without him knowing, as all of his senses heightened.
"Alpha, I received a message from… Woah! Calm down! I have been good!" Archer saw his alpha on the verge of going berserk the moment he walked into the room.
The young shifter was wearing a suit, which meant there would be a formal meeting with humans after this. So, he needed to act like one of them.
However, the moment his eyes fell on his alpha, his heart dropped to the ground. He didn't remember that he had caused trouble recently to receive such hostility. His eyes had turned red and in the next second, Micah had shifted into his white beast and lunged at him.
"I am sorry, I am sorry!" Archer apologized, though he didn't know what he had done wrong. Or maybe there were too many things that he had done, which upset the alpha and now his patience had run out, so he decided to get rid of him?
Archer dropped to his knees, as he protected his head with both of his hands, afraid of the impending assault from his alpha.
However, the worst never came.
The gamma opened his eyes slowly and looked at the empty room before his eyes. The white beast had disappeared.
[Where are you?!]
Archer heard his brother's voice in his head through the mind link. From the sound of it, he could tell how anxious the royal beta was.
[I just had my whole life flashing before my eyes…] Archer replied dramatically.
There was an incoherent grunt from his brother before he snarled at him. [Get your ass here!]
[Okay, okay.] Archer grumbled. Jaxon didn't need to talk so harshly to him, right…
All the shifters around this building could feel there was something wrong with the alpha, after all, they could feel how restless he was through the bond that they shared.
Yet, Archer had never seen the alpha lose control and start acting up like this. What happened? And the most important question was; where did he go?
=========================
A pleasant scent led the white beast to go so far, stirring him with an indescribable feeling that was beyond his comprehension. He had never felt so driven like this before.
As the alpha, he would never let anything, or anyone to take the lead and cloud his judgment, not even his own beast, as he could tame the white lycan inside of him just fine, until now…
The white lycan looked so fierce, if only those humans could see this creature right now, there would be an inevitable pandemonium that would break out.
All the supernatural creatures had stayed far away from the outraged alpha, as they could feel a great sense of danger emanating from him.
There was no way they wanted to intervene with such a threat.
In the end, the scent brought this majestic white lycan to a huge house, then led him to a certain room on the second floor, where the scent became stronger and Micah was no longer able to control his beast.
His entire body started tingling just from taking a whiff of this intoxicating scent when he walked into the bedroom and found her.
It was already midnight when he went there, but this girl still stayed awake. She was standing in the middle of the room, basking in the glory of the moonlight from the open French doors to the balcony.
Water dripped from her long, black hair, down to her jaw and slid to her neck and collarbone. The sight was ethereal in the eyes of a beast like him.
There was no way she would know that a huge white lycan was prowling toward her. No human would be able to see a supernatural creature in their other form… no one…
The girl turned her head and her beautiful eyes opened wide. She was blessed with such a beauty, as if the goddess had taken her time to carve her herself.
Her eyes were the color of gray, which would remind you of the mysterious mist. Beautiful, enchanting and mysterious, as if it would lure you to something that you would never imagine, but you would be more than willing to venture further.
The girl gasped, as she took a few steps back in fear. The towel that wrapped around her head fell to the ground, letting her wet hair flow past her shoulders.
However, the horror in her eyes didn't stop there, because a moment later, the white beast before her eyes shifted back into his human form.
She was flabbergasted, her lips parted, but there was no word that came out of them. She gulped down hard when the man strode across the room to get to her.
"Mate."
That was what he said.
